Week Seven Recap: The Rad Dynasty 2025 Season! (3.07)

Alright, we're back to a full recap again. Week 7 is OVAH and now it is time to dish out the player of the week award. This award surprisingly goes to Bo Nix for Bluth Company. He had like 4 points at the end of three quarters, and then went on to score 4 fourth quarter touchdowns en route to 43.96 fantasy points. Good job Bo Nix and good job Bluth Company. He is now 3-4 and has won two in a row for the first time in nearly 2 years. Perhaps things are starting to turn around now.

Show me the TDs (4-3) 149.07 vs Dynastic Dan (6-1) 123.77

Well, my dreams of an undefeated season are officially over. I'm still winless against Sean's team; a combined 0-4 across 3 seasons now. I really thought I had it in the bag after Jamarr Chase's big Thursday night game. But no. It was a heavy bye week for Dynastic Dan. I over thought things and decided to go with Carson Wentz at QB against the Eagles defense, thinking he'd be good for at least 2 touchdown passes. Womp womp. Instead he only scored 10.32 points. Jaxson Dart, who I left on the bench, scored 34.42. It still wouldn't quite have been enough for a win, as I would have been 1 point short.

Show me the TDs overperformed by 24 points, as Trey McBride and his IDP had big games. Even with goose eggs from two different starters (Luke McCaffrey and Mike Evans) he still overperformed by this much. It was a bad week for me in all my fantasy leagues, as I went a combined 2-5 in my matchups - my first losing week in two years. In one league my opponent was projected to score 81 points, and he ended up scoring 167. That's more than double his projection, which I can honestly say I've never seen before. That's why I can't be too mad at this loss. I was never going to be undefeated. Might as well get it out of the way now during this shit week.

Show me the TDs moves above .500 with the win. It will be a tough matchup with Bluth Company next week, but it comes with a chance to move up in the standings. Dynastic Dan has the matchup everyone likes to see on their schedule next week: TBone. This should be a "get right" game, but you never know. TBone almost got his first win this week!

Alice in Horns (3-4) 117.06 vs TBone's Terrific Team (0-7) 116.96

Loss number 17 in a row for poor TBone. This one was as close as they possibly come. This may be the closest game I've seen, actually, coming down to a tenth of a point. One extra rushing yard by TBone and this is a tie game, which I've never seen in fantasy football in all my years. I'm sure ties happen, though. Has anyone here ever seen a tie? This game is a candidate to be affected by point adjustments, so I guess we'll have to keep an eye on things and see if the win stands.

As far as the actual game, it was a low scoring affair. Even though she won, Alice's team continues to struggle as it has been decimated by injuries. No way this is a close game if Burrow, Puka, and Bucky play. Alice faces Teflon Don next week in a must win game for two struggling teams.

Ned's rollers (5-2) 213.89 vs TDs or Bust (5-2) 158.93

This was a good game against possibly the league's two best teams. Ned was just too much in this one, though. The rest of the league messed up letting him get Christian McCaffrey. I had to double check to see if he set the single game scoring record, but no he was 5 points off. Ned is leading the league in scoring at the moment, and if the season ended today, he'd be averaging 166 points a game - which would be a Rad Dynasty record.

It wasn't a good matchup for Perry, but he can take solace in the fact that he would have beaten most teams this week. No one is beating anyone who scores 214 points. Things don't get any easier for either team next week, as Ned plays 5-2 Skattebo Doesn't Know, while Perry takes on Scotty's team, who is currently tied for first in the league at 6-1. Dang, next week is going to be big!

Bluth Company (3-4) 143.96 vs My Team 115.39 (1-5)

Another tough loss for My Team, as they seem to have given up on the season already. This team drafted well and was predicted by Yahoo to go 10-5 and make the playoffs. But that is probably assuming you are adjusting for injuries and byes - which My Team is not doing. Oh well, maybe they'll win 9 in a row and prove the haters wrong.

Bluth was led by player of the week Bo Nix. He's now 1-0 since trading away CMC. Kenneth Walker only scored 6.6 points at RB, and Dalton Kincaid didn't play. So it is a little early to see if this trade will work out or not. But as of now Bluth isn't out of it yet, and needs to go on a run to right the ship at .500. It's going to be a tough draw against Show me The TDs, but I think it will be one of the best matchups of week 8. On the other side of things, My Team will face off against BDB in a battle of two teams near the bottom of the standings. I think it's safe to say that whichever team loses that game is out of contention this season.

Teflon Don 170.54 (2-5) vs Skattebo Doesn't Know 153.09 (5-2)

Crix shows signs of life, knocking off defending champ Mike in a pretty high scoring affair. This was a must win for my brother as a loss would have dumped him to 1-6 and basically no shot of making the playoffs this year. It will still be hard to do with 5 losses already, but I'm a big believer in the random nature of fantasy football. I think anything can happen if his team gets hot. Oronde Gadsden had 25.9 points in this game. He's a guy I've been big on at TE as a rookie, so we'll see if this is his first game en route to stardom.

Next up on the docket for Skattebo Doesn't Know is ned, while Teflon Don takes on Alice.

AR12 is Weird (6-1) 137.59 vs BDB's Jet Setters (2-5) 121.55

This was a fairly close game. BDB gave Scotty a good fight, but it just wasn't meant to be. Scotty is now 6-1 after taking over this team, which went 4-11 last season. What a turnaround! Mahomes, Davante, and Swift combined for nearly 80 points in the win. Travis Hunter and Justin Herbert were the high scorers for BDB in the loss.

Scotty will look to keep the good times rolling in week 8 against fellow CapTellian TDs or Bust, while BDB has a very winnable game coming up against My Team.

---

An updated look at the standings. I was feeling lonely up at the top so I figured I'd let Scotty join me up here for a while. As far as the rest of the league, it is still anyone's game when it comes to nabbing one of the 4 playoff spots. Can't wait till next year when we expand to 6! As it stands right now, the TDs teams would be on the outside of the playoffs looking in.

I'll offer a reminder (in case anyone has forgotten) that if two teams finished tied in the standings at the end of the year, the tiebreaker is not points, but head to head standings. Only if there is a tie in the head to head record, or a tie among 3 or more teams, will points factor in. So for example - the graphic shows BDB in 10th behind 9th place Teflon Don. But because BDB leads the season series 1-0, he is actually in 9th right now and TD is in 10th. Just thought we needed a reminder of that.
