Week Twelve Recap: The Rad Dynasty 2025 Season! (3.12)

Can you believe we're down to just 3 weeks left in the Rad Dynasty regular season? Even though we are so close to the finish line, there are still a ton of teams in contention for those 4 playoff spots. But before we jump into the matchups and their playoff implications, let's give a shout out to player of the week Jahmyr Gibbs for TDs or Bust. He had 49.9 fantasy points for Perry's team, leading him to a big blowout win over first place Dynastic Dan. It was Gibbs' best game of his career, and of course it came against me - the guy who traded him away after his rookie season.

TDs or Bust (9-3) 190.46 vs Dynastic Dan (10-2) 115.62

Perry didn't even really need that big game from Gibbs, now that I am looking at things even closer. My team sucked so bad, even if Gibbs had gotten a zero, Perry still would have won. My team flat out sucked this week. Josh Allen, Rome Odunze, Emeka Egbuka, Mark Andrews, and Kyle Pitts combined for about 25 fantasy points, which is insane. TBone would have beaten me this week.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but I am worried my team is going to tumble out of the playoffs after this loss. I'm up against volatile Skattebo Doesn't Know next week. Jonathan Taylor and Lamar are coming off duds, so I sense an explosion coming my way. Hopefully my team doesn't shit the bed a second time. As for Perry, he is up against overmatched Bluth Company next week. His team is very strong. I'm calling it now that he is going to run the table and win it all.

Teflon Don (4-8) 129.67  vs Show me the TDs (8-4) 126.37

This is the biggest upset of the week, and it came with major playoff implications. It's hard to say that this was the biggest upset in a week where TBone won a game, but it is true. Sean needed this game to stay in the playoffs, while Teflon Don looks like he's been tanking the last few weeks. If the playoffs were to start today, Sean would be out due to tiebreakers. And look at his upcoming schedule: it's freaking brutal. Ned (#1 in scoring), TDs or Bust (#3 in scoring) and AR12 is Weird (9-3 record) are all on the horizon.

Moral victories don't count in fantasy football, but this has to feel good for Teflon Don. And now he has TBone next on his schedule. He owns both his first round pick and TBone's next year, so it will behoove him to beat TBone and increase his odds at getting the #1 or #2 overall pick. It might be a lost season for Teflon Don, but with the increased playoff field next year, plus his high draft picks, plus the return of a bunch of injured players like Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers, he should be right back into contention next season.

Skattebo Doesn't Know (8-4) 119.62 vs Alice In Horns (3-9) 97.21

This was looking all weekend long like it was going to be a big upset for Alice. JT and Lamar were underperforming for Mike's team. Nico had a bad game, too. It was all there for Alice's taking. But unfortunately, her team underperformed as well. Underperformed by 50, to be precise. Projected to score 147 but only scored 97. Don't you just hate fantasy football sometimes?

This is clearly a lost season for Alice, but she will look to end the year on a strong foot - starting next week against BDB. That's a very winnable game. Mike looks to make it to the playoffs and repeat as champs, but in order to do that he essentially HAS to win against me next week. It's gonna be a fun matchup.

TBone's Terrific Team (2-10) 141.36 vs BDB's Jet Setters (4-8) 98.0

After losing 19 games in a row, TBone is on a hot streak! He's now won 2 out of his last 3 games - in part due to his trade for Dak Prescott, who had a big game this week. St. Brown and Derrick Henry also had big games in leading TBone to a very solid win. He would have beaten a ton of teams this week, mine included! The news wasn't quite as good for BDB's team. Keon Coleman's zero certainly didn't help, but even if he met expectations, the team still would have lost. It's somewhat of a lost season for BDB as well. Hopefully he comes back next year with a high draft pick, better injury luck (Garrett Wilson, Travis Hunter, etc), and a better year from Saquon. He's been booty cheeks this year. If he had played this year like he did last year, BDB is probably in the playoff hunt.

Next week is all about draft positioning for these two teams, as neither of their matchups have playoff implications. BDB plays Alice and TBone plays Teflon Don. All teams that can't make the postseason.

AR12 is Weird (9-3) 148.88 vs Bluth Company (5-7) 123.32

Scotty's team continues to impress with another win against a good team. Bluth had a chance to move to 6-6, but unfortunately this is the final nail in his coffin of a season. But like many other teams I have already talked about, Bluth has a great chance to rebound next season. He's got two first rounders, a team that will hopefully have some better health luck, and a good chance at snagging one of the playoff spots with the new expanded field next season.

Next week, Scotty plays against My Team (my Uncle Pete) in what should be a gimme matchup. Pete is in last place and seems to have disappeared several weeks ago. That would move Scotty to 10-3 and one step closer to securing a playoff bid. Bluth looks to play spoiler against TDs or Bust.

Ned's Rollers (8-4) 184.71 vs My Team (2-10) 114.51

Not much to say about this one. Ned is one of the best teams in the league, and he showed us exactly why with this showing. After my disastrous performance this week, Ned has a giant lead in the scoring column when it comes to overall points scored. My Team seems to have next year's #1 overall pick on lock, as TBone holds the tiebreaker against him - and his next 3 games are Scotty, Perry, and me. All teams that would make the playoffs if they started today. I just don't see this team winning another game this year. But hey anything can happen.

On the flip side of things, Ned looks to move to 9-4 next week with TBone as his opponent. Ned is looking like one of those teams that no one wants to face in the playoffs. Maybe a miracle will happen and TBone will hand him his 5th loss. Yeah, and I'm going to be named the Emperor of China.

---

As always, we'll close with a look at the standings. Not much to say that hasn't already been said in the individual recaps. It looks like the biggest battle will be for the #3 and #4 seeds in the playoffs. I think that TDs or Bust and Dynastic Dan will make it in. But the rest is up in the air.

I guess one thing to note is that BDB holds the tiebreaker over Teflon Don this season. Those 2 are currently tied in the standings. If they end in a 2-way tie, Don will have the better draft pick next season, despite what the standings currently say.

Week Eleven Recap: The Rad Dynasty 2025 Season! (3.11)

Player of the week: Josh Allen for Dynastic Dan. 48.68 fantasy points. 6 total touchdowns (3 pass, 3 rush). Yay. Here are the scores of the week:

I waited too long and now I don't feel like writing a recap. So this is all you're going to get. I guess I'll make a few random observations:

Didn't expect BDB to beat Mike's team, but it happened. This was a huge loss for Mike that drops him out of the playoffs, if they were to start today. TDs or Bust is looking strong and hopes to get a stranglehold on that #2 seed. He plays me next week, so that is going to be a big game for both of us. He needs to win to stay out of the four loss club. TBone put up a better fight than expected against Show me the TDs. Scotty's team finally came down to earth a little bit in their blowout loss. Ned continues to show he is capable of a big game any given week. He continues to lead the league in scoring, although he is only ahead of me by 6 points. Last but not least, My Team unexpectedly won a second game this year, just one week after losing to TBone. Teflon Don continues his downward slide. It is safe to say that they are out of playoff contention. They're going to be armed with some excellent draft capitol next year though, with their own early first round pick AND TBone's.

And now a look at the standings:

Note: Skattebo Doesn't Know won the season series against Ned 1-0, so they're actually in 5th and ned is in 6th. So if the season were to end now, they'd both miss the playoffs and ned would pick one pick ahead of Mike in the draft.

On the other side of things, Alice lost the season series against Teflon Don, so TD is ahead of Alice in the standings and is actually in 9th instead of 10th. Something again to keep in mind when it comes to draft position at the end of the year. Although if there is a 3 way tie, the tiebreaker goes to points.

Week Ten Recap: The Rad Dynasty 2025 Season! (3.10)

This was an important week 10 in The Rad Dynasty. Lots of games with heavy playoff implications. A game decided by .16 points. And a record breaking win by TBone. The 19 game losing streak is finally over!

But let's get to player of the game: Jonathan Taylor for team Skattebo Doesn't Know. He had another monster game, scoring 49.35 fantasy points. Unfortunately it wasn't quite enough for Mike, as he was the team that lost by .16 points.

TDs or Bust (7-3) 159.15 vs Skattebo Doesn't Know (7-3) 158.99

What a crazy game. Mike was projected to win for most of the weekend, fueled by Jonathan Taylor's massive game. But his late players fell short of projections and he ended up losing in heartbreaking fashion. This is one to keep an eye on when it comes to point adjustments. Although I suppose by the time I post this, the adjustments will have already been made.

As far as the standings go, this was a big win for Perry because it moves him back into the playoff hunt. He is currently in the #4 spot. The loss drops Mike a game behind 8-2 Scotty for second place. But he is hanging in there as the #3 seed. On the outside looking in are ned (6-4) and show me the TDs (7-3).

Remember, at the end of the year, ties are broken by head to head record (unless there is a 3way tie at which point it goes to points). With all these teams bunched up at the top of the standings, it is possible that this may come into play.

Other games:

Dynastic Dan (9-1) 178.79 vs Ned's rollers (6-4) 123.07
AR12 is weird (8-2) 139.12 vs Alice in Horns (3-7) 115.29
Bluth Company (5-5) 104.45 vs Teflon Don (3-7) 87.65
Show me the TDs (7-3) 135.11 vs BDB (127.30)

and last but not least

Tbone's Terrific Team (1-9) 127.42 vs My Team (1-9) 106.30!!!!!!

He finally did it! The 19 game losing streak is over. May we never see another losing streak this long again! The hero of the game for TBone was Tyler Allgeier with 18.45 points. Who needs Bijan when you have Allgeier?

A look at the standings shows the current top 4. Bluth is still in the hunt, too, right behind ned and Sean's teams. Interesting to note: TBone is actually 11th in the standings now after the win, because he only plays My Team once this year, so he holds the tiebreaker edge in the standings, despite what Yahoo says.

Next week's game of the week: 9-1 Dynastic Dan vs 8-2 AR12 is Weird. A 17-3 combined record between these two teams. All time, Dynastic Dan leads the series 2-1.

A win for Dan is big here, as it would give him a 2 game cushion for first place. But it would be even bigger for Scotty, as it would tie him atop the standings with Dan. Plus, this is the only time these teams meet this season. Whoever wins this holds the tiebreaker edge.

Week Nine Recap: The Rad Dynasty 2025 Season! (3.09)

Week 9 is over and done with. While it may have been a somewhat predictable week, it helped lay the groundwork for the end game this season. With only 6 weeks left in the fantasy regular season, 4 playoff spots are up for grabs. And 6 teams are still in contention, as there is a log jam at the top of the standings.

Player of the week goes to Joe Flacco for the Bengals. He had 38.7 fantasy points for Show me the TDs. Turns out to be a much needed performance, as My Team gave him a surprisingly good game.

Show me the TDs (6-3) 174.80 vs My Team (1-8) 147.26

This was My Team's best performance in a while, fueled by Brock Bowers and his 37.3 points. Unfortunately it was not enough, as Show me the TDs exploded. Not only did Flacco have a big game, but five other players had what I would call big games as well. That TE duo of McBride and LaPorta is looking deadly.

Show me the TDs moves to 2-1 all time against My Team. Next week they face off against struggling BDB as they look to move to 7-3. My Team is going nowhere fast. The good news is that they play TBone next week. I'm surprisingly invested in this matchup against basement dwelling teams. It could go a long way towards determining who has the #1 pick next year: My Team or Teflon Don (as they acquired TBone's first rounder).

Dynastic Dan (8-1) 148.22 vs Teflon Don (3-6) 121.87

This was a tough loss for Teflon Don. He now drops to 0-5 against his brother and barring a miracle, will likely miss out on the playoffs this year. This was a must win game. Not only that, but he lost Jayden Daniels to a gruesome injury, another injury in a long line of injuries for this team this year. I really thought he was going to beat me this week, as I randomly checked my phone on Sunday and saw he was projected to win 137 to 130. But that was before Josh Allen, James Cook, and Marvin Harrison Jr played and beat the remaining projections.

Bad news for Dynastic Dan, as Tucker Kraft is out for the year with an injury. The next game against 6-3 ned begins a super tough stretch in the schedule as his next opponents after ned are 7-2 Scotty, 6-3 TDs or Bust, and 7-2 Skattebo Doesn't Know. Teflon Don is probably thinking about next year and hoping TBone loses the rest of his games. Chris could be armed with two top-5 draft picks next year (including the #1) if things hold up.

Skattebo Doesn't Know (7-2) 134.81 vs AR12 is Weird (7-2) 130.35

This was a super close game and a tough luck loss for Scotty. Dynastic Dan now sits alone in first at 8-1. But if just one play in this matchup goes the other way, Scotty is 8-1 while Mike is 6-3. This could be a big game when the end of year standings comes around.

Apparently these teams tend to meet a lot, as Mike now holds a 3-2 edge in the all time series against Scotty. Mike has another big game next week against another former CapTel coworker: Perry. That game is going to be hyuuuge. A loss would knock Perry out of the playoff picture (for now). Scotty has a better matchup against 3-6 Alice, but that is not a game to be overlooked. Alice is always a tough opponent, even this year when having a down season.

Bluth Company (4-5) 160.67 vs TBone's Terrific Team (0-9) 108

The losing streak now hits 19 for TBone. Believe it or not, this was Bluth's first ever win against TBone. He is now 1-2 against him all time. Bluth's team had another good performance, pulling within one game of .500. While Bluth's chances might not look too great, you can never discount the team getting hot and another team ahead in the standings getting cold.

Bluth looks to take the next step and move to .500 next week against Teflon Don. A loss here would certainly be the final nail in the coffin for either of these two teams. TBone looks to avoid losing 20 in a row as he takes on My Team next week. Does this count as a Toilet Bowl matchup? Someone has got to win! If TBone ever had a chance, it is here.

ned's rollers (6-3) 155.25 vs Alice in Horns (3-6) 120.32

This was a battle of two teams going opposite directions. Ned improves to 6-3 and is continuing to look like one of the strongest teams in the league, while Alice continues to sink in the standings. While it is looking like it might be a lost season for Alice, there is room for optimism when I look at the potential roster for next year. Add a high draft pick on top of that, plus an expanded playoff field, and this team is right back in it.

Alice's matchup next week against AR12 is Weird will be a key showdown. One more loss and it is safe to say Alice's season is over. Ned has a huge game against Dynastic Dan in what will certainly be the biggest game of next week. Ned now leads the all-time series with Alice 2-1.

TDs or Bust (6-3) 151.71 vs BDB's Jet Setters (3-6) 90.6

This game was never competitive. Perry moves to 6-3 in what was pretty much a gimme win. Drake London had a massive 34 point game. On the flip side of things, I don't know where BDB was or what he was doing, but he left several players who had a bye week in the lineup. That's not good. Yup, pretty much an easy win for TDs or Bust.

Perry is now 3-0 all time against BDB. Things don't get easier for BDB next week as he takes on the other TDs team: Show me the TDs. BDB will be massive underdogs in that game. Hopefully we see more fight out of them than we did this week. TDs or Bust has a massive game on the horizon against Skattebo Doesn't Know. Big playoff implications on the line in this one.

---

A look at the standings below. 6 teams are all bunched up, fighting for those 4 playoff spots. Pretty much every game is a playoff game going forward for many of these teams. One thing I do like about only having 4 playoff spots, is it makes every single regular season game sooo much more important. I'll enjoy it while I can because next year we're going to 6! I can't wait. I almost wish we could do it this year, but I always require one full season's notice before making any changes.

2026 Playoff Seeding

Hi everyone. We should all know by now that NEXT season (2026), the Rad Dynasty will be expanding from 4 playoff teams to 6. This should hopefully keep the league a little more competitive, and make it so that most teams aren't out of contention by week 11 anymore.

The regular season will be shortened from 15 games to 14. The top two teams in the standings will earn a first round bye. The #3 team will play the #6 team in the first round, while the #4 team will play the #5 team. The lowest winning seed plays the #1 seed in the second round, while the highest winning seed plays the #2 seed. This is all pretty standard. Anyone familiar with football in general should have an idea how this works.

While this is all pretty normal, there is one tweak I'd like to make. I've seen this done in other leagues, and I've always thought it was a good idea. I'm going to try implementing it for the first time as a commish - and we'll see how it goes.

The #1 through #5 seeds will be determined as normal - by the standings. Head to head matchups will be the tiebreaker between two teams, while points is the tiebreaker if there are three or more teams involved in a tie. This is how we do things currently. Here is the difference:

The #6 seed will NOT be determined by the final standings. The #6 seed will go to the highest scoring team that is not in the top 5 - regardless of their win/loss record. So a team could conceivably be 5-9 and the highest scoring team in the league. Another team might be 8-6 and one of the lower scoring teams.

Let's say the 8-6 team is in the #6 spot at the end of the season. Normally, they'd make the playoffs and the 5-9 team would be out of luck. But not here. Because the 5-9 team is the higher scoring team, THEY would make the playoffs as the #6 seed and the other team would not. This rule is to put a good, more deserving team into the playoffs as the 6th seed. Just like pitchers in baseball, a win/loss record is not always a good indicator of how good a team/player is. Sometimes you just get screwed by bad luck.

Hopefully everyone is on board with this. I'm going to give an example of how this will work based on the standings from the 2023 season (apologies for the bad screenshot)

Based on these standings, here is how the playoffs would be seeded.

BYE:
#1 ned
#2 Show me the TDs (they had the head to head tiebreaker against the other TD team that year)

#3 TDs or Bust vs #6 Bluth
#4 BDB vs #5 Alice

2024 provides a different but fun example. Nothing would have really changed last year. Ned (the team who finished 6th) would still be the #6 seed because they were the highest remaining scoring team.

The matchups would have been:

BYE
#1 Dynastic Dan
#2 Fergalicious

#3 TDs or Bust vs #6 ned
#4 Alice vs #5 show me the TDs

I think this is all pretty self explanatory. If you have any questions or concerns - or if this is unclear to you, please address these issues in the group chat. Thanks!
