2025 Rad Dynasty Year End Awards

Just like I did the last two seasons, I will be handing out some end of season awards as we head into the offseason.

In case you want to look back at previous years awards, here they are:

Rad Bowl MVP:

This was already touched upon in the final week recap, so I won't spend too much time here, but this award goes to Chase Brown for Dynastic Dan. Not only was he the title game MVP with 27.6 points, he had 30.9 in the playoff game before. Not only the MVP of the Rad Bowl, but the playoffs overall.

2024 winner: Lamar Jackson, Skattebo Doesn't Know
2023 winner: CeeDee Lamb, Ned's rollers

Worst Draft Pick:

This year's winner is Kaleb Johnson for Teflon Don. This one has to hurt, taking Johnson at the 1.06. He was a complete bust his rookie year, and contributed literally nothing to fantasy football. You can't even blame Teflon Don for taking him, as I was high on Johnson coming into the draft. I personally would have taken Treveyon Henderson at the 1.06, but it was a gamble that didn't pay off for my good brother Chris. Maybe Kaleb will get it together, but it is going to be tough being stuck behind Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell (who had a surprisingly good year).

2024 winner: Pat Freiermuth at 1.01, TBone's Terrific Team
2023 winner: not an award yet

Best waiver wire pickup:

This award goes to Jaylen Warren for Show me the TDs. It was a toss up between Warren and Rico Dowdle for Ned's team. But I went with Warren, even though Dowdle outscored him by 3 points. Warren was a mainstay in Sean's lineup, and consistently produced week in and week out. Dowdle was a great pickup as well, but he was left on the bench from time to time. One of his big spike weeks was even missed by ned. So I am going with the more consistent player.

Warren was one of the first, if not the first waiver pickups in the league. He was originally on my roster, but I had "too many running backs" and dropped him after the draft, while keeping losers like Trey Benson on my team. Probably my worst mistake this year, even though I did end up winning the title.

2024 winner: Bo Nix, TDs or Bust
2023 winner: Kyren Williams, Alice in Horns

Defensive Player of the Year:

This award goes to Jordyn Brooks for AR12 is Weird. Brooks was a "set it and forget it" IDP option for AR12 is Weird. He was the #1 IDP in football, and a massive reason AR12 had such a remarkable turnaround season. In fact, this team in general, even under its old manager, has always produced good IDP play. This is now its second DPoY award.

He outscored Jack Campbell for TDs or Bust by 3 points. Campbell also would have been a worthy winner, but I have to go with the guy who scored more points and played for a team that finished second in the standings. If I don't go by points, what else should I go by?

2024 winner: Zaire Franklin, TDs or Bust
2023 winner: Foyesade Oluokun, The Killing Fields (AR12 is Weird).

Offensive Player of the Year:

In other words, the non quarterback award. It easily goes to Christian McCaffrey for ned's rollers. He was the #1 skill player in football, by a 30 point margin ahead of second place Jonathan Taylor. Unlike Taylor, CMC was remarkably consistent this season. He only had a couple underperforming games all year (and I think they were all against me).

In addition, the midseason CMC trade was perhaps the biggest in-season move in Rad Dynasty history. Ned essentially went all in on a player who he thought could win him a title. It didn't work that way, but you can't fault him for the gamble. As the #1 highest scoring non QB in fantasy, CMC was a slam dunk for this award - which he wins for the second time in three years.

2024 winner: Ja'Marr Chase, Dynastic Dan
2023: Christian McCaffrey, Bluth Company

Rookie of the Year:

This award feels a little underwhelming, as Jeanty didn't truly have the breakout season everyone expected for Bluth Company. But still, he finished as the top rookie skill player, scoring 40 more points than second place Tet McMillan. Jaxson Dart could possibly have won this award, but he only started one game for Dynastic Dan. Tyler Warren and Emeka Egbuka started hot and could have won this had they not dropped off the face of the earth. Henderson flashed off and on, but rarely started for Dynastic Dan. Hunter, Hampton, and Skattebo all missed a massive amount of time with injuries. Overall, it was a disappointing year for rookies all around. A dark horse that could have won this was Harold Fannin, as he had a pretty good rookie year for the Browns. And TE is an important position in this league. But he wasn't anywhere near Jeanty as far as total points scored. RJ Harvey started to explode at the end of the year, as well.

2024 winner: Brock Bowers, My Team
2023 winner: Puka Nacua, Alice in Horns

Kicker of the Year:

Everyone's favorite award of the year goes to Jason Myers for BDB. He was the #1 kicker in football, which surprised me because I thought it would have been Brandon Aubrey. But nope. Myers was ahead of him by 16 points. The next closest kicker was actually Kai'mi Fairbairn for Dynastic Dan, but he bounced around too much this season, going from Skattebo Doesn't Know to Dynastic Dan to the waiver wire, was out a game or two, and then went back to Dynastic Dan. Otherwise I would have loved to crown him the winner. He's always a kicker I target in fantasy leagues.

2024 winner: Brandon Aubrey, Show me the TDs
2023 winner: not an award yet

Rad Dynasty MVP:

This was a difficult choice, because Josh Allen wasn't the #1 player in fantasy. That accomplishment goes to Matthew Stafford for TDs or Bust. Why didn't Stafford get the award, then? Because he was an on again, off again player for TDs or Bust. Sometimes he started. Sometimes Drake Maye started. Even Daniel Jones got some action early in the season. But Josh Allen? He was an automatic lock for Dynastic Dan's lineup.

Allen was a steady force for this year's champ. He didn't seem quite as impressive as year's past, as it seems like he had a few more dud weeks than normal, offset by some massive explosion games. But even "not as impressive as last year" Josh Allen is still good enough to be the MVP of this league. #2 quarterback in fantasy, #2 player in fantasy, and QB of the team that won the title. Looks like a pretty clear case to me.

2024 winner: Lamar Jackson, Skattebo Doesn't Know
2023 winner: Jalen Hurts, Ned's rollers

Manager of the Year:

This clearly has to go for Scotty, right? He became the first person to take over a team in league history, replacing The Killing Fields, who went 4-11 last year. In fact, John from The Killing Fields actually won the award for worst manager last year, which makes this accomplishment even more impressive. From worst managed team and 4-11 to the #2 seed in the league. Doesn't get any better than that.

2024 winner: Dynastic Dan
2023 winner: ned's rollers

Worst Manager of the Year:

Yup, this award goes to my Uncle Peter. I don't know what went wrong here, but this team had a decent draft and was projected by Yahoo to go 10-5 this year. Instead, they went 2-13 and had the worst team in the league. Injured players were left in the lineup, bye weeks weren't accounted for, a minimal amount of moves were made. I messaged my uncle a few times about this and he would say that yahoo keeps logging him out. I'm not sure if anyone else has had a problem repeatedly getting logged out of Yahoo, but if this is happening, this is something that needs to be brought to Yahoo directly. I can't really do anything about it. Or log in and stay logged in on other devices, or something. Hopefully next year is a new story. Peter has the 1.01 in the draft and honestly he has a pretty good team that could make a postseason run next year, especially with the playoffs being expanded to 2 extra teams.

2024 winner: The Killing Fields (John) - now AR12 is Weird
2023 winner: Tbone's Terrific Team (Tim)

2026 Rad Dynasty Offseason Tracker

Thanks for taking part in season 3 of The Rad Dynasty! Below is a complete list of everyone's team assets. I've already went ahead and added your taxi players to your teams. I'm not going to make you wait like I did last year.

You will all have until August 1st, 2026 to drop your team to the normal range of 15-20 players. Just send me a private message of who you are cutting, and I will update this tracker (and later, the Yahoo board). I will be sending out reminders 10 days in advance of the cut deadline. Until then, enjoy the offseason! The draft will be on the first Sunday of August, as normal. That date is August 2nd.

If you wish, you can engage in offseason trades. I have everyone's contact info at the bottom of this post. Message each other, work out whatever trade you want to make, and message me. Remember, if you trade a draft pick you must get a draft pick (from that same season) in return. Sorry, but it is just how Yahoo works. If you trade a future draft pick, just message me and I will note it and update Yahoo whenever I can. For example, last offseason, BDB traded me his 2027 first rounder for Garrett Wilson and my 2027 5th. So there is not really anything I can do with the draft capital part of this trade right now, since the 2026 draft is the next one coming up. I just write it down on my tracker and then NEXT year I worry about it.

I've also decided that this year, you can include FAB in your trades. But you can only use the money listed below. You can't dip into the 100 you will be getting next year.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT (1/16/26) TDs or Bust sends the 5.08 and George Pickens to Dynastic Dan for Josh Downs, Mark Andrews, and the 1.12 in the draft.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT (1/16/26) Show me the TDs sends his own 2027 1st round pick to Teflon Don for AJ Brown and his 2027 4th round pick.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT (3/17/26) TDs or Bust sends the 1.12 and Drake Maye to BDB for the 1.04 and Travis Hunter.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT (3/22/26) Dynastic Dan sends Trey Benson, Jacory Crosskey-Merritt, and the 2.12 to Bluth Company for the 2.05.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT (3/22/26) Bluth Company sends the 1.09 to Ned for Alec Pierce and the 5.09

PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR TEAM AND MAKE SURE I DIDN'T MAKE ANY ERRORS WITH ANYTHING!

Last but not least, get a jump start on your dynasty mates and start looking ahead to the 2026 rookies.

The Rad Dynasty 2025 Season Playoffs: The Rad Bowl (3.17)

We've reached the end of our 3rd season in this league and we have a new totally rad champion: me! Dynastic Dan took out TDs or Bust to win season 3 of this league. Woo hoo. A winner is me. In three seasons, this is now the third different team to win a title:

Ned in 2023
Mike in 2024
Dan in 2025

So far no real dynasties have taken hold. TDs or Bust has the best regular season record across three seasons of this league, but he has lost in the title game twice. Dan finished the #1 team in the regular season two years in a row, but only has one title to show for it. Ned is consistently great. Mike's team is always dangerous.

Before we move on, let's give overdue props to Chase Brown for Dynastic Dan! Usually the player of the week award goes to the highest scoring player overall, but I can't give basically the Super Bowl MVP award to someone on the losing team, which would have been Bijan with 37.4 points. Instead the award goes to Chase Brown. He led Dynastic Dan's team with 27.6 fantasy points in the Bengals' game against the Cardinals.

Dynastic Dan
(12-3 reg, 2-0 po, 14-3 ovrl)
160.93
 vs
TDs or Bust
(11-4 reg, 1-1 po, 12-5 ovrl)
142.81

This game gave me anxiety all the way to the very end. It started out well for me during the early games, as IDP Van Ginkel had 16 points for me, while Pickens and Gibbs, two of Perry's better players, combined for fewer points than that.

As the week went on, my team started to pull away. Chase Brown had his big game. Josh Allen salvaged a game he was sucking big time in with 2 late TDs. He finished with 23.18. Ja'Marr Chase had 21.5. Achane had 12.7. Even Harold Fannin got in on the action with 10. On the down side of that, Brian Thomas Jr and James Cook did not show up at all and massively underperformed. But still, I had a 71 point lead coming into Monday night.

Perry had London, Stafford, and Bijan left to play. Unfortunately for him, he left Drake Maye and his 42 points on the bench. But still, I had to sweat out the end of this, as Bijan was having a mammoth game. I also had Kyle Pitts, but he didn't really do anything in that game.

The actual NFL game was back and forth between the Rams and Falcons. There were several near misses by Stafford late in that game that could have been touchdowns. This finished as an 18 point margin in our fantasy matchup. But it felt closer than that. If Stafford throws a TD, there goes 7 or 8 points to Perry. Then it's a 10 point game. Now Atlanta gets the ball back. Who would probably get the ball? Bijan. And then imagine the game goes to overtime. I had all kinds of nightmare scenarios rattling around in my head.

It's funny to say I had to sweat out the game when I ended up winning by 18, but that's exactly what happened. In the end, I was able to breathe easy and celebrate winning my first title in this league. As I said in text, it doesn't quite "feel right" for some reason to win my own league. I remember being kind of relieved when I lost last season. But this year I was like you know what? I want to win, darn it. There is so much luck involved in fantasy football. No matter how good your team looks or how well you've built it, a random bad week could knock you out in the playoffs before they've barely even started. Injuries play a major part, too. I came into this season thinking I was stacked at WR, and now in the title game I had to end up playing Brian Thomas Jr, who has been complete ass this season, because all my other guys are either on IR or rookie prospects that I can't trust. So I know going into next season that I still have things to work on.

I hope everyone enjoyed, and I will be posting a big write up in the next day or two where I show:
1. Everyone's draft picks going into next year
2. Everyone's roster going into next year
3. A deadline to make roster cuts that will drop you from whatever you have down to 15-20
4. Everyone's FAB getting carried over to next year
5. Everyone's contact information in case you want to make any offseason trades
6. A more detailed explanation of how offseason trades work (basically you message each other, make the deal, message me, and then I update my offseason tracker. When the next season opens on Yahoo, I update the changes - whether they be roster changes or draft pick trades, on the actual Yahoo page)

I also have to do the season awards soon, too. So look forward to that.

Congrats to Perry for his second place finish. He puts a lot of thought into his roster and making trades, and I thoroughly appreciate how big of a player he's been in this league. Shout out to Scotty as well. Taking over a bad team and leading it to the #2 seed and the playoffs. Shout out to Ned for being consistently great. Shout out to TBone for being consistently terrible. Shout out to all of you. You are who makes this league fun, and I look forward to doing it again next year.
