The Rad Dynasty: 2024 Taxi Squad tracker and 2025 draft pick trade tracker

Taxi squad keepers are first come, first serve. Basically, you are reserving a rookie or second year player for your team for next year, without them counting against your roster limit. Even if someone picks up your player off waivers and finishes the year with the player on their team, that player is still yours when it comes to selecting your keepers next year. The deadline for your taxi pick is the end of the day on August 31st. If you do not make a selection, I will randomly make one for you. To make a pick, simply message me the name of the first or second year player you want to keep - and they must be a free agent on the yahoo page. I will then update this post after receiving your selection.

UPDATE: FINALIZED TAXI LIST:

Dynastic Dan: TE Cade Stover (Hou)
Teflon Don: TE Erick All Jr. (Cin)
Bluth: RB Braelon Allen (NYJ)
Show me the TDs: QB Michael Penix Jr (Atl)
TDs or Bust: WR Troy Franklin (Den)
ned's rollers: WR DeMario Douglas (NE)
Alice: WR Jalen McMillan (TB)
My Team: WR Marvin Mims Jr. (Den)
Tbone: WR Jalin Hyatt (NYG)
Thunder Thighs: QB Spencer Rattler (NO)*
BDB: WR Andrei Iosivas (Cin)*
Killing Fields: WR Jacob Cowing (SF)*

*did not make a pick, so these players were randomly assigned to them

Also, I am just leaving this here as a reminder to myself for when I start tracking things next year (2025) about trades involving draft picks.

I sent my 2025 5th round pick to BDB for his 2025 4th in the Justin Herbert/CJ Mosley offseason trade.

As part of a later trade for Trey Benson, I also sent my 4th rounder to Tbone for his 5th rounder. I still have BDB's 4th rounder though.

In the Jaylen Waddle trade, I acquired Perry's 3rd for the 5th I got from tbone.

I now have:
1st rd
2nd rd
3rd rd
Perry's 3rd *acquired in Waddle trade
BDB's 4th *acquired in Herbert trade

Perry has:
1st rd
2nd rd
4th rd
Tbones 5th *acquired from Dan in Waddle trade, who acquired from TBone in Benson trade
5th rd

Tbone has:
1st
2nd
3rd
4th
Dan's 4th *acquired in Benson trade

BDB has:
1st rd
2nd rd
3rd rd
5th rd
Dan's 5th * acquired in Herbert trade

Everyone else just has their normal draft picks, rounds 1 through 5.

The Rad Dynasty 2024 Draft Recap

ROUND ONE

We waited a long 8 months for this moment and it finally arrived - the 2024 second annual Rad Dynasty Draft. We all carried over 15 to 20 players from the previous season. To see who everyone brought over, click this link.

Once our keepers were solidified, we then drafted from the incoming pool of rookies combined with any players who were left unrostered at the end of last season. The results were, and I feel this is an understatement, very surprising.

TBone's Terrific Team finished last season with the league's worst record, and thus earned the #1 overall pick. It was a class full of highly touted prospects like Caleb Williams (considered a generational talent at quarterback), Marvin Harrison Jr (the son of the NFL legend and considered one of the best receiver prospects the game has ever seen), Malik Nabers (many people compare him to Ja'Marr Chase.... he would be the #1 receiver in this draft if not for Harrison), and Brock Bowers (the best college tight end EVER).

And who did TBone take with the #1 overall pick? Pat Freiermuth. I understand it is a league where you start two tight ends and it is a very important position to get a leg up on, but.... really? I suspected TBone might miss the draft but I thought for sure that Yahoo would auto pick Harrison Jr for him, as he was listed as the best available player coming into the draft. But no. Pat Freiermuth.

I took full advantage of this, taking Harrison Jr. with the #2 pick. Brock Bowers was taken by My Team at #3. While it is a questionable pick with Odunze and Nabers still on the board, at least Bowers is a sensational TE prospect. So I think it is actually a good pick. Hunter Henry taken with the 4th pick. Another wild result I did not see coming. This was another auto pick, so it seemed like Yahoo was auto picking the best tight ends for people. But this was an awful pick.

Jonathan Brooks at #5 to Bluth Company. This is a terrific pick. I wanted Brooks if he was still available at #9. Bluth seems to have done his homework and he is also very RB needy, so this could be a great pick for him once Brooks is fully back from his injury. Malik Nabers at #6 to Teflon Don. Another awesome pick. I bet Chris was shocked that Nabers, one of the best receiver prospects in recent memory, fell to him at #6.

#7 was Jonnu Smith to the Killing Fields. Another auto picked tight end. Jonnu might have a decent year with Miami but with so many younger players with great potential still available, this was not a great pick for TKF. Caleb Williams at #8 to Alice in Horns. I thought Alice was okay at QB with Jordan Love and Joe Burrow, so this was a bit of a surprise to me. But Caleb is an awesome prospect, so I get it. I was mainly just shocked to see Rome Odunze fall to me at #9. I absolutely had to take him. Coming into this draft I never thought I'd walk away with Marvin Harrison Jr and Rome Odunze in the first round. But I'll take it! I was thinking I'd have Nabers and Benson.

Jeffery Simmons to Show me the TDs. I think this may have been an auto pick? Sean C is not going to be happy that Yahoo picked basically all defensive players on his team in the draft. I know he is someone who does his research.

Gus Edwards to Bluth Company at #11. Maybe not a great dynasty pick with Benson still available, but Gus should provide immediate returns playing with the run heavy Chargers this year. At #12, ned took Ben Sinnott. This was a great pick. Ned must have seen the run at TE and took the best young rookie TE not named Brock Bowers. I was looking to draft him with my next pick if I had the chance.

ROUND TWO

Trey Benson went to Tbone at 2.01 - which was a great pick. Kicker Kai'imi Fairbairn went to Thunder Thighs. An auto pick. Where o where were you, Mike? Another kicker, Jason Sanders, was auto picked to My Team. Bluth brought us back to sanity at the 2.04 taking my favorite name in the draft: Ladd McConkey. His next pick was a bit of a head scratcher as he took Michael Mayer, who I just cut from my team a day ago because I didn't think he would contribute much this year. But since we are all in tight end wasteland I can see why he'd make the pick.

Xavier Worthy was another good pick by Teflon Don. Zeke Elliott goes to the Killing Fields. If Zeke has a big year with Dallas, this could be a good pick. Blake Corum to Alice in Horns. This is such an Alice pick. I love it. Deshaun Watson to BDB's team next. This was a surprise pick. If I was going QB, I'd take someone young and with a higher ceiling, like Jayden Daniels.

Show me the TDs auto picks another defensive player at the 2.10. Ouch. Seriously, he is going to be so mad. Diontae Johnson to TDs or Bust at 2.11. Good pick. I like Diontae. Chris Godwin goes to ned's rollers. Good pick. I like Godwin.

ROUND THREE

Juwan Johnson to TBone at the 3.01. Another auto drafted TE. Not a good pick. Another kicker, Dustin Hopkins, to Thunder Thighs. Ouch. Tyler Conklin, another auto drafted TE to My Team. Ouch. I guess it is no surprise that these are the people with the 3 worst records in the league. I have a feeling the way this draft is going, we're going to see more of that.

Dynastic Dan snaps us all back to reality taking Brian Thomas Jr with the 3.04. BTJ is another phenomenal WR prospect, and is someone I legitimately thought was going to be taken in the first round. The fact that he was there at the 3.04 was astonishing to me.

Daniel Jones to Bluth Company. JK Dobbins to Teflon Don. I am not sure either of those picks really moves the needle much. Cameron Dicker to the Killing Fields. Ouch. TKF is having a terrible draft, despite what Yahoo's rankings say. Bo Nix to Alice, which is a solid pick. But I think Nix could have been gotten much, much later in the draft. Sutton to BDB. Meh. Khalil Dorsey to Show me the TDs. For the third time: Sean C is going to be so mad when he sees this draft.

Tyler Higbee to TDs or Bust. Not a great dynasty pick, but TEs are important, so I get it. MarShawn Lloyd to ned. Great pick. Ned sniped him right before he got to me.

ROUND FOUR

Brandin Echols to TBone's Team with the 4.01. Another poop pick. Jelani Woods to Thunder Thighs. I had considered taking a late round flyer on Jelani Woods. He has good talent. But this was a reach at 4.02. Chauncey Golston then went to My Team. Poop. Keon Coleman to Dynastic Dan at the 4.04. Seriously, Coleman is ANOTHER highly touted rookie receiver. I could not believe they were just falling to me left and right. At this point I realized I had other needs on my team, but since MarShawn Lloyd was gone I went with a receiver.

Ja'Tayvion Sanders to Bluth at the 4.04. Good pick. He's a good young guy with upside. Jayden Daniels to Teflon Don at 4.05. Chris doesn't really need a QB but this was a good pick for the value Daniels provides with his high rushing floor. He could be a star better than Purdy or Prescott in just a year or two. Gesicki goes to The Killing Fields. Poop pick. Estime to Alice in Horns. Very good pick. I liked Estime.

Ertz to BDB with the 4.09. Meh. Jalen Reeves-Maybin to Show me the TDs. Have I mentioned yet how pissed he is going to be? Dontayvion Wicks to TDs or Bust. Solid pick. Many compare him to Davante Adams and say he could break out this year. But there are a lot of mouths to feed in that Green Bay offense.

The round ended with JJ McCarthy going to ned with the 4.12. Ned sitting back, silently building up a lot of depth, and taking advantage of everyone else's draft mistakes.

ROUND FIVE

This is where the draft ended for many people.

DL James Lynch goes to TBone's Team. Poop pick. CJ Moore to Thunder Thighs. Poop pick. Jaylinn Hawkins to My Team. Oh dear, this draft has been absolutely brutal for the bottom three, who didn't even bother to show up. Good luck with your rebuild, guys. You had awesome draft capitol that you could have used to fully restock your teams' cabinets, and completely pooped it away.

Ricky Pearsall to Dynastic Dan at 5.04. I know, I know. My fifth wide receiver in a row to open the draft. But the value was there. Pearsall is an elite talent and has first round draft capitol. And now there is all this Brandon Aiyuk drama. I absolutely could not pass on him.

Khalil Shakir to TDs or Bust, with the pick he acquired from Bluth Company in the Breece Hall trade. I like the potential of this draft pick, as many are picking Shakir to have a breakout season. Rico Dowdle to Teflon Don. Chris desperately needed a running back, so this was not a shocking pick. I'm not sure I would have picked Dowdle over other running backs still available, but I do think Dowdle could have a big season if Zeke is hurt. MJ Stewart to The Killing Fields. Poop pick. Sam Howell to Alice. I like Howell and he is a good fantasy QB, but did Alice need yet another quarterback on her roster?

At the 5.09, Malcolm Rodriguez goes to BDB's Team. Poop pick. Cairo Santos to Show me the TDs. Say the line! Jake Bates to TDs or Bust. I guess it makes sense if he needed a kicker. Micah Parsons to neds rollers. This looks like a pick that fills a need for ned's team.

ROUND SIX:

Only 7 teams picked in this round, the remaining 5 teams kept 20 players so their draft ended in round five. At the 6.01, Ezekiel Turner goes to My Team. Poop pick. Jordan Battle goes to BDB, in the pick he acquired in the Justin Herbert trade. But it turned out to be a poop pick. Dynastic Dan finally takes a running back with Kimani Vidal at the 6.03. I'm not a huge Vidal believer, but the dynasty community is - so I'll take their word on this one. I needed a RB anyway.

Bucky Irving goes to Alice's team with the 6.04. Good pick. Khalil Herbert to BDB. It's an okay pick if he pans out. He's in a 3-RB time share though. Adonai Mitchell to TDs or Bust at 6.06. Fantastic value pick. He should have been taken several rounds ago. Josh Palmer goes to ned's rollers. A good depth pick since the Chargers have little at WR.

ROUND SEVEN

Only 4 teams picking now. Everyone else is done.

Kamu Grugier-Hill to My Team. Who? Poop pick. Jaylen Wright to Dynastic Dan. I now have the monopoly on Miami Dolphins running backs. Wright is apparently a Mostert clone so if Mostert gets hurt or released after his contract is up, Wright could be a big big winner in this offense.

Ray Davis to Alice in Horns. Really solid player and a great pick for Alice. I was going back and forth between Ray Davis and Wright/Vidal the last two rounds when I took a running back. At the 7.04, ned fills a position of need with Junior Colson.

ROUND EIGHT

Just three teams left drafting.

Dan goes Ja'Lynn Polk with the 8.01. I didn't need another wide receiver, but Polk is a guy I felt should have went in round three or four. He's a very talented player and could be the WR1 in New England right off the bat. Just too good to pass up. Alice fills a hole in the secondary with Jamal Adams. ned swings for the fences with Johnny Wilson, who probably would have gone completely undrafted if not for this pick. This looks like a homer Eagle fan pick. But who knows, Wilson could be something! No one saw Puka coming last year. EDIT: after thinking it over, I remember some talk about Wilson being converted to TE because of his size. If this is why ned picked him, it is definitely a savvy pick given the TE scarcity in this league.

ROUNDS NINE AND TEN

9.01: Alice takes a kicker
9.02: ned goes Kendre Miller. Good pick. Miller had a bad rookie season but if he hits, could be a valuable player for the Saints if Kamara ever goes down or gets cut.
10.01: Alice takes Byron Young.
10.02: ned takes Theo Johnson. Good pick for ned. Theo is someone I was considering for my taxi squad. In a league where tight ends are important, this is a solid value pick that will look brilliant if he hits.

And that's the end of the draft.

Honestly, this was a very weird draft. I didn't expect so many people to miss it, especially since I've been giving regular updates and sending out reminders. I also announced the date of the draft months ago. Oh well.

One of the things about so many people missing the draft is that it REALLY allowed everyone else to "restock their cabinets." The auto drafters wasted so many picks on tight ends, kickers, and random IDP players. I mean, I guess it is nice that they will be set at TE while everyone else struggles, but their drafts could not have gone any worse for them. It is going to set them back years in this league. Just look at my team, Dynastic Dan. I was able to add SIX highly touted dynasty receivers that should have gone in the first two rounds of the draft. They got none. Other players like Teflon Don, TDs or Bust, Alice, Bluth, and ned really took advantage as well. Don is just stacked at WR and QB right now. The other teams are very well rounded. Show me the TDs had a disaster of a draft, but his core is young and deep enough where I think he will be the only auto drafter not seriously impacted by missing the action.

I think year two is where we really start to see a divide in the dynasty. I am going to do more of an in-depth season preview later in the preseason, but for now my initial power rankings after the draft are:

1 Dynastic Dan
2 ned's rollers
3 TDs or Bust
4 Alice in Horns
5 Teflon Don
6 Show me the TDs
7 Bluth Company
8 BDB
9 The Killing Fields
10 Thunder Thighs
11 My Team
12 TBone

Yes, I really put myself at #1. But I really think I absolutely smashed both the offseason trades and the draft. Let's all come back and laugh at me when I once again finish towards the bottom of the standings.

Rad Dynasty update - two tweaks that will be implemented from here on out

Hi all! We are now two days away from the draft. I just have a few tweaks to announce - nothing game changing and nothing that will affect how you draft.

I actually meant to introduce the first tweak last year (the initial season) but then realized I forgot to put it in my rules update at the beginning of the season - and then people started using all their FAB money. But basically, from this point forward any unused FAB dollars will be carried over to the next season. Everyone is going to start this year with 100 for fairness sake. If you use 0 dollars, next year you will start with 200. If you use all 100, next year you start with 100. If you use 3, next you will start with 197. Make sense? I hope so.

Like I said, I meant to have this be the plan starting on day one of the league - but I never announced it in last year's rules - so I didn't think it was fair to carry over anyone's money from last year. It's official now, and will remain official as long as the league is going. This will reward frugal teams, who can save up money and then outbid everyone if a big name hits the waiver wire. It will also make big spenders (like me) think twice about making so many transactions during a season. This rule in no way benefits me, so please do not claim it is unfair. It is a hindrance for me to be honest. But this is what I originally planned to do in this league, so I am seeing it through to fruition.

The second update will be the inclusion of a "taxi squad." Taxis are very, very common in dynasty leagues. It is an extra roster spot where you can "stash" a developmental player until next season. In normal dynasty leagues, these players can't be placed into anyone's starting lineups or picked up by other teams. They are basically moved off into fantasy football purgatory.

Unfortunately, Yahoo does not have a taxi feature. I've been trying to think of a workaround, and I think I have one. After the draft, each team can name one taxi player. This player must be a free agent (not on waivers or on anyone's team). They must also be a rookie or a second year player. If you are unsure of which year a player is - do the research on your own. I won't be helping you.

Everyone will have seven days from the end of the draft (so, August 11) to name a taxi player. This will reserve the player for your team. Since Yahoo does not have a taxi feature, other teams can still pick up and use your player. But when the season ends (even if the player ends the season on a different manager's team) that player will be added to your roster for next season as a choice of someone you want to keep or not. To keep things fair, in case there are people who don't read the rules right away, I personally will be waiting till a few days after the draft to claim my player.

Long story short - you are calling dibs on an unrostered rookie or second year player for next season - and they won't count against your roster limit.

This might sound a little confusing - but I assure you it is not. Please reach out if you have questions.

Anyway, see you in 2 days for the draft!

The 2024 Rad Dynasty Season (2!) is almost upon us.

Hello everyone. This is a reminder that we are a little under ONE MONTH away from the 2024 Rad Dynasty draft. It will take place on Sunday, August 4th at 4:30 PM Central Time. In case you've been completely ignoring my previous updates, you can find everyone's roster that was carried over and all their upcoming draft picks HERE.

Also, this is another reminder for app users to use the Yahoo website, as it offers more options than the app. You can see the players in the draft pool you will be picking from here. You can see the draft order here, with your keeper players filled in at the bottom of the draft. You can also go to the league's front page, where the schedule is posted, and you can click on each team to see their rosters. Please note that your matchup preview with each opponent will be showing as zero vs zero until after we draft.

I just want to give everyone a quick update how things are going to work. On July 25, which will be exactly TEN days before the draft, I am going to send everyone a personal instant message/email/text with their roster and inform them they have until August 4th to submit any changes they want to make to their keepers. Remember, you must keep between 15 to 20 players. Alice and ned only kept 15, so they are pretty much locked in and do not have to do anything. Everyone else either has 19 or 20 players currently rostered. If you wish to make any cuts, you will have from July 25th until August 4th to make them. As soon as the clock rolls over from August 3rd to the 4th, your keepers will be locked in.

Remember, we have 25 man rosters in this league. The number of players you carry over combined with the number of draft picks you have must equal 25. So if I keep 20 players, I get 5 draft picks in the upcoming draft. If I keep 19, I get 6. If I keep 18, I get 7. So on and so forth. It will be up to you to decide whether you want to keep all the players you brought over, or drop a couple and earn some more draft picks in the process. If you have a player on your team that you don't think will see any minutes, or you don't think will be a valuable dynasty asset (like Tommy DeVito, for example), I encourage you to drop him and pick up the extra draft pick. Again, you will have from July 25th until August 4th to submit to me a list of any players you wish to drop, otherwise all your keepers will be carried over.

As far as the draft itself, a reminder that it takes place on August 4th at 4:30 CST. Remember, this is a dynasty draft. You already have your core players. You are essentially adding to your roster in the hopes of keeping it competitive for the years to come. Don't come into this draft thinking you are going to pick Christian McCaffrey or Tyreek Hill or anyone like that. Those players are already taken. The draft will consist of the incoming rookies mixed with unrostered veterans from the end of last season. It is absolutely essential that you do your research and try to grab as many promising young players as you can. Once a player joins your team, you have him for life. Imagine getting the next Ja'Marr Chase or Patrick Mahomes as rookies, and then having them on your team forever. All great players have to start somewhere!

On that topic, I have heard a few of you say "I don't really pay attention to college football. I don't know which rookies are going to be good and which ones aren't. I am not familiar with any of these names." I have some news for you: I don't really watch college football either. I do pay attention to what the experts have to say, however, and I also paid a lot of attention to the actual NFL draft when it happened. But knowledge of college football is absolutely not necessary, as long as you read over some summaries of the incoming class and familiarize yourself with its players. Here are a few good resources for you if you need the extra help:

I will further explain why each year's draft is so important. Let's say your running backs are horrible. In a redraft league, you can just start over next season. You do not have the luxury of starting over in this league. If your running backs are bad, you can't just shake the running back tree and add a good one to your team. You have to draft a rookie and hope they hit. Or maybe draft a second or third year guy who's been buried behind veteran running backs, who you think is ready to shine. You can even deal away draft picks to a fellow league mate in order to pick up a running back.

You always have to play the long game in dynasty. That's why it surprised me last year to see players like Keenan Allen, Mark Andrews, and Nick Chubb just dropped from rosters completely. Even if they are injured or underperforming, remember that you are playing the long game. If you don't see a future for a player on your roster, try to initiate a trade with a league mate and get something in return!

Please, if anyone has questions about how this will work, or is confused by the process, send me a message and I will gladly explain.

Here is a picture of Gary Busey:

I also want to explore the possibility of future changes to the league. I've made it no secret that when my son is older, I wish to expand to 14 teams to add him and one other player (preferably a family member). That will be somewhat of a "soft reboot" of the league. Rather than keep 15 to 20 players, you will only be allowed to keep 13 to 17. When all the cuts are made, the two expansion teams will go back and forth picking from the unrostered veterans in an offline "expansion draft". Once their rosters are at 13 to 17 (it's up to them where they want to stop), they will be added to the Yahoo league, their keepers will be added, and the draft order will be set.

The two new teams will have the #1 and #2 pick in the draft that year, decided by coin flip. So if you finished with the worst record the year before, tough luck. The best you'll be picking is at #3, unless you trade up. I'll be informing everyone of the expansion a year before it happens, to give everyone time to prepare. Also to make things more open for everyone, since no one will be able to get the #1 or #2 pick, the year before we expand, I will expand the playoffs from four teams to six. Hopefully the added playoff spots give the bottom teams more incentive to win, since they can't get the #1 or #2 pick. This change from four to six playoff teams will then carry over for the duration of this league's existence, even if we do end up dropping back to twelve teams at some point in the future.

There will also be a slight format change once we expand. Rosters will still be 25 players and scoring will still be the same, but a second flex spot will be added. Also, all IDP will be condensed from D, DL, DB, and LB to just three D spots. Again, since this is a pretty big change, I'll be giving everyone a whole year's notice in order to adjust their rosters. Everyone will be affected equally.

Sometimes I randomly think of other things I want to change or tweak, but I have to remind myself that they key to running a fun, successful league is being consistent. I don't want to make things too crazy by needlessly shaking things up. Aside from the chaotic year of the expansion draft (whenever that will be), I'll keep everything status quo for the most part. The only change I may make in the near future is that I am softly considering adding return yard points with the new kickoff rules. But we'll monitor this upcoming season to see how returns go before I make any changes. So no one has to worry about 2024. If all of a sudden the new return rules massively impact the actual game of football, I'll almost have no choice but to add scoring bonuses for kick returns in this league somehow for 2025 and beyond. Maybe give an extra three points for a 50+ yard return. So if someone had a 50+ yard return for a TD, it is a nine point play. If they just have a 50+ yard return but do not score a TD, they get three points. Nothing game changing, but it would still slightly acknowledge the importance of the new return rules.

I think that's all I have for now. Please check your texts/emails/Facebook messages/message board inboxes on July 25th, which is when I will be reaching out to ask you if you want to drop any of your keepers. Until then, buh bye.

2024 Rad Dynasty Yahoo page is now open.

Hello everyone. The purpose of this post is to inform you that the Yahoo page for the 2024 season is now officially open. You can follow the ensuing link to take you to the page:

If you are using the Yahoo app, I implore you to use actual website instead. It is so much better and so much more detailed. I messed around with the app a little bit last season and it was terrible. The actual page shows you everyone's roster, their schedules, the moves they have made, it shows you the best available players on waivers, it shows you everything you need to know. The app is essentially good for setting your lineup and that's it. So if you want the full Rad Dynasty experience, VISIT THE WEB PAGE.

Now that that's out of the way, I will inform you that, even though the draft is still 3 months away, we are essentially good to go. The IDP scoring we talked about last year has been changed. Schedules are set. Keepers on all of your rosters have been carried over. The draft order is set as well.

Since I have you all here reading this, I am going to take the time to explain how this season's draft will work, since it is the first (non start up) dynasty draft most of you have been involved with.

Rosters are 25 players. I allowed you to keep 15 to 20 players. If you kept 20, you will get 5 draft picks. If you kept 15, you get 10 picks. If you kept 19, you get 6 (so on and so forth). Just because one team has more picks than another, doesn't mean the draft will be unbalanced or unfair though. Everyone will pick in order for the first 5 rounds. The worst teams from last year pick towards the top of the order each round, the better teams pick last. There were a few trades in the offseason that changed the order - for example TDs or Bust doesn't have a first round pick because they traded it with Tee Higgins to Bluth Company for Breece Hall and a 5th round pick. So Bluth has two first rounders and TDs has none.

Once the first 5 rounds of the draft are complete, the teams who kept less than 20 players will continue to draft until they reach 25 players. This is a little hard to describe on paper, so let me give you a visual representation. Go to https://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/4274/draftresults to see what I am talking about.

As you can see, the order for the first 5 rounds is set. All but four teams kept 20 players, so in round 6, the only people drafting are Alice, TDs, and ned. So in round 6, these four teams will have the only selections. Everyone else's draft pick for the round will be automatically filled in with a player they had kept.

Same in round 7 (and beyond). Alice and ned are the only teams to keep fewer than 19 players, so they are the only two teams that will continue to draft (unless other teams later decide to drop more players). Everyone else's draft spot will be filled with players they decided to keep.

This might sound a bit complex, but I promise you that it is not.

For now, there is nothing really that you need to do. Remember, the draft is August 4th at 4:30 PM central. The last week of July, I'll send a reminder that you have till August 1st to drop any additional players (thus giving you more draft picks). Once the 1st has passed, your rosters are set in stone - barring any pre-draft trades.

Dynasty drafts are very rookie-heavy. If you are unfamiliar with the rookies coming in this year, I advise that you familiarize yourself with them. Here is a good article:

If you don't really care enough to bother learning the new rookies, you can just go ahead and draft any players that were left unrostered from last year. Chris Godwin and Diontae Johnson are the highest rated non-rookies still on the board. There's a ton of other names out there too, like Ezekiel Elliott and Gus Edwards. But remember, this is dynasty. While it might make sense to you to snag a veteran over a rookie, it may not pan out long run. Maybe Chris Godwin will help you win more games this year than, say, Ladd McConkey or Xavier Leggette. But will you be able to say the same 3 years down the road? 5? 10?

I guess that is all I have to say for now. I think this all makes sense, but I understand if you may have questions. Please reach out and ask!

For now, I'll continue to track rosters, draft picks, and player moves on the official offseason thread, which you can find here:

See you in August.

The Official 2024 Rad Dynasty Offseason Thread

This post is intended to track everything that happens in the official Rad Dynasty offseason (which is between now, January 9th of 2024 and the day before next year's draft, August 4th of 2024). This will be a long 8 months. Below I will be posting everyone's roster, and a list of all their draft picks they will be making next season. As offseason moves are made, I will add those moves to the top of this post, directly under these few paragraphs. They will be in italics. This will be a way to keep track of all the offseason moves in this league.

Remember, if you want to make an offseason trade, you have to reach out to a fellow manager with the deal. Use the league chat, email, text, or even someone's Facebook to make a trade proposal. If both sides agree, message me with the deal and I will update this thread and the affected teams' rosters. It is up to you if you want to post your email to the group. You might be able to see emails if you go to the Yahoo page and click on League from the top, and then Email League from the drop down. Additionally, if you want to drop someone from your roster, just message me and I will indicate the drop has been made here. Remember, you must keep between 15 and 20 players on your roster. And if you make a trade involving draft picks, make sure the number of picks involved is equal. Like, you can't just send 2 draft picks for a player. You would have to get 2 draft picks in return. Likewise, you can't send even one draft pick without getting one back. There is no limit on how many players can be included in a deal, as long as no one's roster goes below 15 or above 20. If a move would make someone go above 20, they would have to drop a player to go down to 20. As always, I hold ultimate veto power as far as trade goes, if I feel they are unfair.

If anyone has any questions on how the offseason or next year's draft will go, please reach out to me. I want everyone to be 100% clear on how this is going to work. I don't want to hear "I didn't know.... blah blah blah" when next season rolls around.

Please note: everyone kept 20 players except for Alice and ned, who opted to keep 15 on their respective teams. That is why you will notice they have more draft picks. If anyone makes a move that drops them below 20 players, they will be awarded an additional pick in next year's draft (beginning in round 6.) I will update any changes made to draft order if this happens.

FIRST OFFICIAL TRADE, January 10th of 2024:
Dynastic Dan sends Jahmyr Gibbs and Quentin Johnston to TDs or Bust in exchange for Garrett Wilson, Raheem Mostert, and James Cook. Since this puts Dynastic Dan at 21 players, they have decided to release Jahan Dotson, who goes into next year's draft pool. Since this move puts TDs or Bust at 19 players, they are awarded a 6th round draft pick for the 2024 draft.

ANOTHER TRADE, April 5th of 2024:
Thunder Thighs sends the #2 overall pick in the 2024 draft along with K Evan McPherson to Dynastic Dan in exchange for WR Jayden Reed and the #4 overall pick in the 2024 draft.

ANOTHER TRADE, April 5th of 2024:
TDs or Bust sends WR Tee Higgins and the #11 overall pick in the 2024 draft to Bluth Company for RB Breece Hall and the 53rd overall pick in the 2024 draft.

ANOTHER TRADE, May 17th of 2024:
Dynastic Dan sends his 2nd round pick (#16 overall) to Bluth Company for Josh Allen. Since this puts Dynastic Dan at 21 players, they have decided to release Roschon Johnson, who goes into next year's draft pool. Since this puts Bluth at 19 players, they are awarded a 6th round draft pick for the 2024 draft. This pick has been sent to Dynastic Dan, as any trades involving draft picks have to include an even number of picks in the trade.

Drop: My Team drops Derrick Carr and Juwan Johnson. My Team has been awarded a 6th and 7th round pick to make up for these two players.

Drop: Dynastic Dan releases Michael Mayer. Dynastic Dan awarded a 6th round pick for the loss of the player.

BDB will be awarded a 6th rounder, as he sits at 19 players now. Dan will get a 7th and 8th rounder as he sits at 17 players now.

The Rad Dynasty 2023 year end awards

Congrats again to ned for winning the first ever Rad Dynasty championship. Now that the year is over and the long offseason is about to begin, I figured I'd hand out some awards. I had no intention of doing this and I did not plan this out in advance. It is kind of a spur of the moment thing.

CeeDee Lamb has already won Championship Game MVP honors, so now it is time for the rest of the awards.

Best Waiver Wire Pickup

This easily goes to Kyren Williams for Alice in Horns. Williams went undrafted in the league's start up draft. Cam Akers was supposed to be the Rams starting back, but he found himself in the Rams doghouse almost right off the bat, much to the chagrin of Dynastic Dan, who drafted him in the 7th round.

Alice in Horns scooped up Kyren Williams, who by week 2 had won the starting job. It was off to the races for Kyren Williams, as he had a mammoth fantasy season. He finished as the fourth highest scoring running back in the NFL, with 240.5 fantasy points. He had about 1300 combined rushing and receiving yards, to go with 15 touchdowns. All while missing several games on the IR in the middle of the season. Great production from an undrafted player. What a pickup for Alice.

Defensive Player of the Year

This is an easy one for me. It's got to go to Foyesade Oluokun for The Killing Fields. The Killing Fields had one of the best defenses in the league this year, putting up big numbers in nearly each and every single game. Oluokun was a big part of that success. He finished as the #1 scorer among IDP, with 263.25 points scored on defense. He had 108 solo tackles (1st), 58 assisted tackles, 2.5 sacks, 6 passes defensed, and 1 defensive touchdown scored.

Oluokun was the first defensive player taken in the draft, selected in the third round. The Killing Fields clearly knew what they were doing when they picked this player. Oluokun is 28 years old and looks to be a defensive force in the Rad Dynasty for many years to come. Hats off to a great season!

Offensive Player of the Year

In the real NFL, this is known as the best player who isn't a quarterback award. This season, there is no one else this award can go to aside from Christian McCaffrey from team Bluth Company. He was far and away the best non-QB this season, scoring 360.8 fantasy points. That's sixth among all players this season, QB or not.

McCaffrey accounted for over 2,000 yards of total offense. 1,459 yards rushing and 564 yards receiving. He scored 21 combined TDs, while also catching 67 passes. McCaffrey was a massive reason that Bluth Company was the third highest scoring team in the league this year.

Rookie of the Year

Rookie of the Year was an easy choice as well: Puka Nacua for team Alice in Horns. Nacua popped up out of nowhere to finish as the highest scoring rookie position player. CJ Stroud was actually the highest scoring rookie, but he was barely utilized by Bluth Company this year, with Josh Allen as the team's starting quarterback.

Puka was drafted in the 17th round of our startup draft. Every single team in the league passed on him at least 16 times. Betcha no one will make that mistake in redraft leagues next season! He was drafted behind fellow rookies Quentin Johnston and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and he easily outperformed them both. Puka looks like he is going to be a star in this league for Alice's Team for a very long time. What a find.

Rad Dynasty MVP

The awards basically handed themselves out this season. There was no one else I could think of that would be better suited to winning this award than Jalen Hurts. He is the second highest scoring player in football with 403.72 fantasy points. He accounted for 38 total touchdowns. He started essentially every game for ned's rollers, leading him to the highest scoring point total in the league. He then went on to have a big postseason and lift ned to the league title. If that doesn't scream MVP, I don't know what does.

Manager of the Year:
ned's rollers

Ned continues to dominate this season and the awards season. Not only did he finish as the best team in the regular season record-wise, he was also the highest scoring team in the league. What is just as impressive is that ned accomplished this while giving up nearly 149 points a game. There was almost no margin for error, due to always facing everyone's best, and he still came out with the best record in the league. Compare that to Bluth Company, the third highest scoring team in the league. They gave up 148 points a game and only finished 7-8. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good. And ned was both!

Ned dominated both the regular season and the postseason. He outscored his two playoff opponents by a combined 85 points. That means ned won his playoff games by over 40 points per game. That's crazy. Complete dominance! There is no one else who deserves this award more. Ned will look to keep it up next season, and in the years beyond. He's built not only to succeed now, but succeed as a dynasty team, too. Don't be surprised to see this team primed and ready to repeat when next season rolls around.

Oh, and by the way. Remember before the season started (in one of my preview posts) how I said the winner would get a small reward for winning this season? It's nothing special monetary-wise, but it is a souvenir that is important to this league in a historical context. It will be even moreso as the years go by. It is yours for the taking, ned. I'll keep what it is as a surprise for now, but if you send me your address I can mail it out to you ASAP.

Worst Manager of the Year:

There's no punishment for finishing last in this league, so you'll have to settle for some good-natured ribbing. Here's a picture of Timmy (Tbone) during Christmas of 2021. Isn't he lovely? If you look on the lower left hand corner of the picture, you'll see Channing in the red plaid. Future Rad Dynasty champion!

Jokes aside, TBone should have a solid team next year with his receiving core of Amon Ra St. Brown and Tyreek Hill. Armed with the #1 pick in the draft, this team could draft a generational talent that will be on this team for the next decade. Who will it be, though???

***

That's it for this year's award show. Maybe I can plan this out better next year, and have some better awards. I suppose I can add comeback player of the year and comeback manager of the year - but those will have to wait for the end of season 2.

Before we go, one last reminder to send in your keepers, due by January 8th. I'm keeping track of them HERE. Once the 8th comes and the picks are finalized, the offseason will officially begin.

I'll make a separate post with everyone's rosters that I will update periodically throughout the offseason if anyone makes a trade or wants to drop a player. I'll also include everyone's "assets" AKA their draft picks underneath their team roster. That way we can keep an eye on any changes made in the offseason, either through player trades, draft pick trades, or drops. It'll all make sense when you see it happen, I am sure.

Have a good offseason, all of you! Thanks for making this a successful first season.
