Week Four Recap: The Rad Dynasty 2025 Season! (3.04)

This is going to be a quick recap because I'm fairly busy this week. You'll just have to deal with it.

Player of the week for week 4: the newly acquired Dak Prescott for team TBone. Dak's 4 touchdowns led to 36.96 fantasy points. Dak's heroics were nearly enough to lift TBone for his first win of the season, but alas - it was not meant to be.

Aaron Likes Jonnu's TE (3-1) 161.20 vs TBone's Terrific Team (0-4) 140.86

Why you gotta make me type out that crazy team name, man? I think I'll just refer to you as Scotty going forward, haha. But this was a surprisingly good matchup between two teams that finished near the bottom of the standings last year. Scotty survived in what was a closer matchup than the final score indicated. Dak nearly lifted TBone to the win in a game that went back and forth all weekend long. But Scotty was able to pull out the win behind Patrick Mahomes (35.3) and two crazy big IDP games from Jordyn Brooks (21) and Maxx Crosby (20.75).

TBone has now lost 14 games in a row going back to last season. There have been some close calls this year, but no luck breaking through.

Dynastic Dan (4-0) 162.16 vs BDB's Jet Setters (2-2) 137.42

While both teams overperformed, it was still a relatively large blowout for first place Dynastic Dan. I'm now 4-0 and looking good. I'm starting to worry about Jamarr Chase and Chase Brown though. These guys have really wilted with no Joe Burrow.

BDB is only 2-2 but has looked strong so far this season. He'll try to climb back above .500 again next week against ned.

Bluth Company (1-3) 156.29 vs Alice in Horns (1-3) 140.83

Bluth finally gets into the win column with one of the more surprising results of the week. Things really clicked for Bluth Company. This was the type of team performance I expected to see coming into the season. Maybe this marks the beginning of a turnaround? On the flip side, Alice's team has continued its stumble out of the gate. Alice was considered a strong contender at the beginning of the year. Key injuries to Joe Burrow and Nick Bosa have hurt the team. And now Bucky Irving looks like he might miss time too.

Alice has a good chance to rebound next week against struggling My Team - in what is a must win for each team. Bluth looks to continue his winning ways against first place Dynastic Dan. Bluth has never lost against me before, so I expect a challenging matchup ahead.

TDs or Bust (3-1) 194.97 vs Show me the TDs (2-2) 132.53

I always look forward to seeing when the two TD teams match up, but unfortunately this one was a real snoozer. This was one of those dominant performances from TDs or Bust where you just have no chance of winning. It's almost impossible to win when your opponent has 195 points.

TDs or Bust is looking like a team to beat after a rough start to the season. Perry looks to pad his record next week against in a game where he is a mammoth favorite. It's going to require a herculean effort from TBone to end his losing streak next week. On the other side of things, Show me the TDs has a challenging matchup against defending champ Mike. Tough luck for Sean as newly acquired Tyreek Hill left the game with a season ending injury immediately after Sean spent ALL his free agent money on him. That's super rough. It's been a tough year so far for this team, but I think they can turn it around. It is still super early. A win against the defending champ next week would go a long way.

Skattebo Doesn't Know (3-1) 129.43 vs My Team (1-3) 91.77

It was a less than stellar week for each team, as this was the lowest scoring matchup of the week. In fact, I think it may be the combined lowest scoring game of the year? A win is a win for Mike. Uncle Pete takes on Alice in a battle of 1-3 teams. The loser of that game is going to be in real rough shape.

ned's rollers (3-1) 152.05 vs Teflon Don (1-3) 123.81

Rough week and rough season so far for Teflon Don. AJ Brown continues to stink up the place and now Malik Nabers is out for the year and may miss time next year too. Yikes. I love Malik Nabers and he is one of my favorite NFL players. But now I'm glad my trade offer for him was turned down in the offseason! Jayden Daniels has been off and on injured, and now Brock Purdy is hurt just a week after Chris traded Dak Prescott away. And then Dak immediately blew up and had a massive game as the player of the week for TBone. Tough stretch of events here, but the future first he acquired in the trade is looking more and more like the 1.01 since TBone can't seem to win a game.

Ned has quietly been putting together a stellar season so far. It's only been 4 weeks, but he's looked every part the bit of a contending team. He is currently the second highest scoring team in the league. Ned won the 'ship in the inaugural season of The Rad Dynasty. He is more than capable of doing it again.

---

Again, sorry for the lackluster recap this week, but I have things to do and kids to raise. Here is a look at the standings. I love the cluster at the top of the standings. I'm 4-0, but four teams are right behind me at 3-1. Ned and Perry look like real contenders. Mike continues to win win win. Scotty has been super impressive taking over a dysfunctional team. The 2-2 teams are not out of it yet, as they are only one game out of second place - and there is still a LOT of season left. The 1-3 teams still have life, too. A 1-4 start can be hard to overcome. 2-3 sounds much better.

Here is to an interesting week 5, and good luck to you all.

Week Three Recap: The Rad Dynasty 2025 Season! (3.03)

Injuries, upsets, surprising performances, and questionable roster moves highlight what was an interesting week 3 in The Rad Dynasty. But first, let's give a shout out to the Julie Chen player of the Week (I'm making that a thing now, btw). And that player is Jalen Hurts for ned's rollers. Hurts had 4 overall touchdowns, leading to 35.04 fantasy points for team ned. Special thanks to Alice for NOT starting Caleb Williams, as he would have been the player of the week with 37.12 fantasy points. That would have been enough to turn a close loss into a blowout win. Let's talk about that, shall we?

Dynastic Dan (3-0) 125.07 vs Alice in Horns (1-2) 120.42

This was a super ugly game, both teams underperforming by a massive amount of points. Things started out great for Dynastic Dan, as Josh Allen, James Cook, and De'Von Achane combined for 61 fantasy points on their Thursday night game. I thought this was going to be an easy win. Unfortunately, the rest of the team laid a major egg, and Dynastic Dan was lucky to sneak out a win against similarly underperforming Alice.

Dan entered the Sunday night game down by 2 points, and needing Harrison Butker to outscore Travis Kelce in order to eke out a win. Luckily, this happened and Dan escaped with a 3-0 record. It's been a murderers row of opponents for Dan (TDs or Bust, Ned, Alice) but somehow this team remains undefeated. 2-1 BDB is next on the docket before things start to get easier for a little bit. Alice looks to rebound against Bluth Company, in what should be an absolutely vital game for both teams.

Skattebo Doesn't Know (2-1) 203.87 vs Bluth Company (0-3) 128.52

Just an absolutely massive game for defending champ Mike. It's still early in the season, but that is the most points scored in a matchup yet this year. His team exploded up and down the board, led by Lamar's 32.4 points, Jonathan Taylor's 31.3, and Hunter Henry's random 25 burger. Even Cam Skattebo himself finally got going with a 21.1 point game.

The losses continue to pile up for Bluth Company. It's almost comical how bad of luck Bluth has had so far in this league. His team's all time record is 10-23, and 7 of those wins came in 2023 - the league's inaugural season. The 128 points he scored would have beaten 6 other teams this week, but unfortunately he was facing off against someone who scored over 200. Tough to win when that happens.

TDs or Bust (2-1) 151.27 vs My Team (1-2) 142.48

This was a very competitive matchup, and either team could have scraped this one out. The projections went back and forth all weekend long. My Team was favored going into Monday night, but then Jared Goff had a bad game while Jahmyr Gibbs had a big one. This tilted the scale in Perry's favor.

This would have been a big upset for My Team, but alas it wasn't meant to be. They will look to rebound against Mike next week, while it will be a battle of the TD teams to see who will improve to 3-1 and who will be 2-2.

Show me the TDs 121.69 (2-1) vs The Killing Fields (2-1) 119.76

This was a super tight matchup, decided by fewer than 2 points. Would have been a 3-0 start for Killing Fields if things had gone a little differently. On the flip side, Show me the TDs always seems to have their games come right down to the wire. This was another matchup that went back and forth all weekend. It probably shouldn't have been this close is it wasn't for the massive underperformance from Show me the TDs. They underperformed by 34 points while TKF underperformed by 5.

Not related to this matchup, but Sean was able to score a major win by picking up Tyreek Hill off waivers. It was the first time we've seen a major name become available on waivers, and Sean made sure he got him by wagering his entire FAB budget to pick him up.

BDB's Jet Setters (2-1) 135.9 vs Teflon Don (1-2) 124.24

BDB's team continues to impress, coming out of the gate with a 2-1 record. Teflon Don seems to be headed in the other direction. They are the third lowest scoring team in the league. I really thought this team was going to turn things around so far, but injuries and poor play from the incoming rookies has really derailed things.

Teflon Don did make a big trade today, sending away Dak Prescott, Evan Engram, and next year's 2nd rounder to Tbone for his first rounder - which may very well end up being the 1.01 depending on how things go for TBone. That's something to monitor. It doesn't help Teflon Don now, but it could pay big dividends in the future.

Ned's rollers (2-1) 161.79 vs Tbone (0-3) 84.53

Tbone may set a league record for futility this year. After a 4-1 start in 2024, this team has now lost 13 games in a row. And it isn't looking any better. Tbone inexplicably released Tyreek Hill and got nothing in return for him. And he has traded away his 1st rounder next year. This has left the team a mere skeleton of its former self. A massive rebuild looks to be on the horizon. But is TBone up to the task?

Ned rolled over the opposition in what may likely be his easiest win of the year. This one was never in doubt. Jalen Hurts himself nearly scored half of the points TBone's entire team did this week.

---

Now for a look at the standings. Dynastic Dan sits alone at 3-0, while 6 other teams sit right behind him at 2-1. Tbone and Bluth occupy the cellar with matching 0-3 records. I haven't given up on anyone yet, aside from maybe TBone. Yes, Bluth is 0-3 but the talent on the roster is there. Alice has had a little bit of rough injury/matchup luck so far, but I expect things to even out. Same with Teflon Don.

If I had to take an early guess at which 4 teams will be in the playoffs, I would say: Dynastic Dan, TDs or Bust, Ned, and then Skattebo Doesn't Know. Next year is where things will really get interesting, as the playoff field will expand to 6 teams (the top 2 teams getting a first round bye). I'm excited for the move. Should introduce a lot more parity to the league, and also give hope to people who consistently finish just outside the top 4.

Week Two Recap: The Rad Dynasty 2025 Season! (3.02)

Week 2 of the Rad Dynasty has wrapped up, and now it is time to take a look at this week's action - which is headlined by player of the week Amon-Ra St Brown for Tbone's Terrific Team! He had 115 yards and 3 TDs, leading to 34.7 fantasy points for Tbone's team. Two players outscored St Brown in week 2, but neither were started, so they aren't eligible to win this award. Jared Goff (43.96) sat on My Team's bench, while Russell Wilson (36.3) isn't even rostered. Unfortunately, TBone was not able to pull off the win, as they let the lead slip away to Teflon Don on Monday night.

Teflon Don (1-1) 139.06 vs Tbone (0-2) 128.69

Things just get tougher and tougher for TBone as this is now this team's 12th loss in a row going back to last season. Derrick Henry had a bad game with 2.3 points. If he'd have had his usual monster game, Tbone would have had a chance at winning this. Teflon Don was led by Malik Nabers and his 34.45 points. This matchup went into Monday night with TBone leading by less than a point, but Teflon Don's Devin White was able to come through with the needed points (and more) to secure the win and the 1-1 start.

Next week will be tough for Tbone as he faces ned. Teflon Don has a chance to move above .500 with a win over BDB.

Dynastic Dan (2-0) 180.67 vs Ned's rollers (1-1) 155.04

Despite the seemingly lopsided final score, I actually had to sweat this one out. My team underperformed through Sunday's action. I was kicking myself over my last minute decision to remove James Cook (26) from my lineup at the last minute for Breece Hall (4.8). Josh Allen also had an abnormally bad fantasy game with 11.82 points. By the afternoon games, ned was favored to win this matchup by quite a bit.

But then his starters decided to underwhelm too. Jalen Hurts (11.54) and Courtland Sutton (2.35) massively underperformed, leaving the door open for me to come back on Monday night and snatch victory away from ned. I was down by about 13 points, and I had two defensive players left to play: Daiyan Henley (who I haven't trusted since the championship game last year when he had a goose egg in the title game) and Danielle Hunter. I was sweating it because IDP can be quite volatile. I was fully expecting them to come up short. But then they absolutely exploded. Henley had 22.5 points and Hunter had 15.75. That's nearly 40 points when all I needed was 13.

Dynastic Dan faces Alice in Horns next week, in what should be a great matchup. Ned has a slightly easier matchup against TBone.

Show me the TDs (1-1) 149.4 vs Skattebo Doesn't Know (1-1) 127.15

This was a tough luck loss for defending champ Mike. His start to the week reminded me of the start Chris had last week. Austin Ekeler (3.4) and Jayden Reed (0) each left with injuries, leaving a massive hole in Mike's lineup. It's really tough to recover from that. It ended up being a relatively close game (22 points apart) so if these guys had played the whole game, it may have been much closer.

Sean's team moves into fourth place with the win. Brandon Aubrey (22) and Tua (22.6) were the leading scorers in the game. I'm starting to kick myself for releasing Jaylen Warren at the beginning of the season, as he has turned into a solid source of points for Show me the TDs. That is a big, underrated pickup for this team. I was worried about Kaleb Johnson making him irrelevant in fantasy. Boy was I wrong.

The Killing Fields (2-0) 150.43 vs My Team (1-1) 113.2

What a turnaround for The Killing Fields, who was one of the worst teams in the league last year. You could even argue THE worst. But Scotty has come in as the new manager and turned things around quickly. It's only two games, but this is a team that looked dead in the water last season. Hats off to Scotty for the 2-0 start.

On the opposite side of things, My Team didn't look very good in this one, after its impressive performance in week one. Kittle and McFadden are on IR, and were left in the lineup. Maybe their backups aren't enough to pull out a win, but you just hate to see the spots being left empty. It doesn't help that other players like Brock Bowers (6.3), Jordan Mason (4.8), and Terry McLaurin (7.3) didn't do enough to make this competitive. Hopefully uncle Pete patches up his roster holes and this team can right the ship next week. It's definitely not too late.

Alice in Horns (1-1) 123.09 vs BDB's Jet Setters (1-1) 112.28

This was an ugly game with some serious injury implications. Joe Burrow (9.04) is out for essentially the whole fantasy season for Alice. She'll have to rely on Caleb Williams and Jordan Love going forward. Aaron Jones (2.3) is now on IR for team BDB. Otherwise, there was not much interesting fantasy wise happening in this game. Like I said, it was an ugly game. Both teams struggled to do much of anything.

Alice will face Dynastic Dan in a rematch of last year's playoff game. BDB will play Teflon Don - another 1-1 team. The winner will move above .500.

TDs or Bust (1-1) 143.75 vs Bluth Company (0-2) 119.19

It's been a tough go of things for Bluth Company in the Rad Dynasty. In the initial year of this league, he was the second highest scoring team in the league, but still somehow missed the playoffs. In year 2, the wheels fell off and he dropped to the last place team and winner of the Ashton Jeanty sweepstakes. Now in year 3, things continue to look bad. I really thought Bluth was primed to turn things around this year, but it just hasn't worked out that way. Still lots of time though. It won't be easy in week 3 against defending champ Mike, but I still have faith in this team.

TDs or Bust won despite failing to meet initial projections for the second game in a row. You can't help but feel that this a team waiting to explode. Drake Maye (30.3) is going to be a pretty good fantasy QB, I think. Bijan (18.3) and Gibbs (17.9) balled out, but Jefferson (9.6) and Drake London (5.65) have struggled out of the gate. Once everyone gets on the same page, look out.

---

The standings are pretty wild so far. I'm sitting in first place by virtue of points scored. Newcomer Scotty sits in sole possession of second place. Then it is a massive 8-way tie at 1-1. Bluth and TBone sit at the bottom with 0-2 records.

Things are still very much wide open, with only two undefeated teams through week two. Only one loss separates third place from last. If you are having doubts about your team, don't! You've got this!

Can't wait to see how week 3 unfolds. See you then!

Week One Recap: The Rad Dynasty 2025 Season! (3.01)

Welcome back to my weekly recaps for The Rad Dynasty! In seasons past, I have sent out these recaps in many ways - email, Yahoo league chat, social media, etc. But I think the group text will help keep everyone connected and in the loop. I don't have to be posting it a million different places in order for everyone to see it. In case you are interested in reading recaps from past seasons, you can normally see an archive off to the side of the text you are currently reading. Scotty, this might be interesting to you if you care at all about the history of this league coming into its third season.

Player of the week for week one: Josh Allen for The Rad Dynasty! He scored 42.76 fantasy points right off the bat in the first week of the season. He had 4 touchdowns and 424 overall yards of offense in Buffalo's giant Sunday night comeback win over the Ravens. Good job Josh Allen. You seem to be picking up right where you left off last year.

Now, onto the games.

Ned's rollers (1-0) 149.68 vs Show me the TDs (0-1) 148.46

This was the clear Game of the Week here in the Rad Dynasty. Ned wins by a little over a point, after DJ Moore loses a fumble on the very last play of Monday night's scoring. The 2 point deduction is enough to hand Ned the win. What a crazy finish. That being said, there is always a risk of a point adjustment when a game finishes this close. In another league I was in, I won two games by point adjustments last year. It is a lot more likely to happen in leagues with IDP, like this one. So we'll see what happens. Funny note: Ned has DT Jalen Carter in his DL spot, and he takes a zero in this matchup because he spit on Dak Prescott before even playing a snap. The week definitely began and ended in wild fashion for Ned.

My Team (1-0) 128.53 vs Teflon Don (0-1) 101.57

This was a brutal game for Teflon Don, as right off the bat, two of his starting receivers had dreadful performances that tanked this team's performance. AJ Brown had 1.3 points in the season opener, and Xavier Worthy had 0 after getting injured in the Friday game. It was going to be tough to come back from that. The rest of the team didn't really do much either, and this ended up being a blowout loss to uncle Peter. These teams have now met for the 4th time, and Peter has won all 4 matchups.

My Team starts 1-0, despite also underachieving in week one. Yahoo projections have this team finishing with a winning record and possibly making the playoffs, which would be a massive leap for a team that's ranked towards the bottom of the standings the last two seasons.

Skattebo Doesn't Know (1-0) 141.06 vs Alice in Horns (0-1) 136.97

Defending champ Mike continues to find ways to win, as he defeats fellow playoff team Alice in a very close game. This was a tough luck loss for Alice, who was projected to win for much of the weekend. But this was a matchup that kept going back and forth in the projections. Joe Burrow had an unpredictably bad game. If he even has a normal game, Alice wins this one.

Alice will look to rebound next week against BDB, while Mike will take on Show me the TDs in what should be a very important battle.

Dynastic Dan (1-0) 166.06 vs TDs or Bust (0-1) 114.78

On paper, this was a good matchup between the two best regular season teams from last year. But TDs or Bust had an absolutely terrible opening game, and this ended up being a blowout. Josh Allen's big performance didn't even matter, because if you remove it completely, Dynastic Dan still wins this game by about 10. On paper, a team with Justin Jefferson, Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Jahmyr Gibbs should dominate, but as a whole, they underperformed. There was a big play by Bijan early on Sunday that tilted the favor in Perry's favor briefly. Had me worried for a while. But when the rest of the team doesn't show up, and you underperform by this much (35 points) it will be hard to win against anyone.

BDB's Jet Setters (1-0) 142.27 vs TBone's Terrific Team (0-1) 103.62

This was a great performance by BDB's team, who came alive after a down 2024 season. Hopefully this is a sign of great things to come this year. Led by Justin Herbert, Saquon Barkley, and newly acquired Garrett Wilson, BDB outpaced projections by 20 points and raced out to a blowout win over Tbone.

Poor Tbone is going to have a long year. They are projected to have the lowest scoring team in the league this year and go 1-14. Not only was their projected point total the lowest in week one, they still managed to underperform on top of this. The only thing keeping them from being the lowest scoring team this week was Teflon Don's abysmal performance against My Team.

The Killing Fields (1-0) 124.02 vs Bluth Company (0-1) 110.54

Congrats to Scotty for winning his very first game as new manager of The Killing Fields. It looks like the rebuild is off to a great start. For Bluth Company, this has to feel like more of the same. The team always seems to be projected as one of the highest scoring teams in the league, and then it massively underperforms. I remember thinking that Bluth was one of the most consistently screwed teams last year between poor performance and injuries. But injuries can't even be blamed for this one, as the team was just flat out bad, underperforming by 36 points. Hopefully Bluth can turn it around next week, in a battle against similarly underperforming TDs or Bust.

--

Interesting start to the season. A lot of back and forth matchups in the standings. A lot that is up in the air, as many star players didn't show up in week one. It seems like a lot of the high scoring players this week were left on benches, while guys like JaMarr Chase (3.6) and many other high profile players had bad, underperforming games.

I guess we'll see if the coming weeks provide any clarity. It's always interesting at the beginning of the season. Hard to tell what is an anomaly and what is a sign of things to come.

The Rad Dynasty 2025 Season: Draft Recap, Meet Your Competitors, and Trading 101

Year 3 of this dynasty league is underway, so I figured I'd post a little bit about each one of you, because I know some of you have not crossed paths or encountered each other before. Now that the group text has been introduced, hopefully it will spark some conversations amongst the teams, and we can start getting some more offseason wheeling and dealing done. Remember: during the season you can make trades through Yahoo. In the offseason, you can't do it through Yahoo. But you can still make trades. Just reach out to a fellow manager and work out an agreement. Message it to me, and I will update everything from my end. So if for example, BDB wanted to trade his first round pick and one player to Ned for his 3rd round pick and another player, they would just message me the trade and I would make the draft adjustment and player swap manually from my end. Remember: the season never really ends in dynasty. I know I think about my team and what I want to do waaaaayyy more than is healthy for a normal human being. I don't know if you all are like that or not. I know Perry is.

A few things I want to make clear that I am not sure if they've been made clear before: you CAN include FAB in a trade. Why not? Yahoo doesn't let you do it, so just let me know how much you are including and I'll make the adjustment.  Also, FAB carries over from year to year. Each year, you get 100 FAB dollars added to your team. If you didn't use any FAB last year, now you have 200. If you used 50, you now have 150. If you used it all, you now have 100. I made this post last year so everyone should be aware of this, but I am posting it again as a reminder so there are no excuses that anyone "didn't know" this was a rule.

Trades involving draft picks must include an equal number of draft picks for the same season coming back in return. So if I trade my 4th round pick in 2026, I HAVE to get a 2026 pick from the other team back in return. If I trade my 2027 4th, I have to get a 2027 pick back in return. I can't get a pick this season or any other season in return. You can trade draft picks up to 4 drafts in advance. So right now the latest pick I could trade is my 2029 pick. Because the 26, 27, 28, and 29 drafts are the next 4. After the next draft takes place, you can then trade your 2030 pick. It's always the next 4 drafts.

If you have any questions about trading, don't hesitate to message me.

*side note: this is also the final season where there will only be 4 teams making the playoffs. Starting in 2026, 6 teams will make the postseason each year*

OK, now that I'm done talking about trading, I'll move onto the meet and greet and the draft recap. I'll do it team by team.

TDs or Bust 21-9 overall regular season record (.700) 0 titles

Facebook: Perry Dutcher

I know Perry through CapTel, a place I've worked at since 2012. You'll notice a few people in this league are coworkers or former coworkers at CapTel. Perry is the guy who got me into fantasy football to begin with. He is also the one who thinks about dynasty the most (aside from me) and is probably always looking to make a trade. Don't hesitate to reach out to him if you ever have an offer. He's someone who is basically guaranteed to respond and have a dialogue with you. He's also the winningest player in Rad Dynasty history with a .700 regular season winning percentage. Unfortunately, he has no titles to show for it. That looks to change this year, as he has aggressively swung for the fences through trades, and has one of the best rosters in the league. Adding Justin Jefferson makes a trio of Bijan/Gibbs/JJ - and that should be a terrifying thought for the rest of the league. This is perhaps the best 1/2/3 punch we've seen in league history. He also has Drake London, who is no slouch. And he just drafted Omarion Hampton. This team could be good for a long time.

2025 Draft picks:
Rd 1 Omarion Hampton
Rd 2 Jaydon Blue
Rd 3 Jack Bech
Rd 4 Jaylin Noel
Rd 5: Devin Neal

Grade: B. Hampton is a home run pick in the first round, although I was wondering if he'd take Travis Hunter, who could potentially be a cheat code slotted in at DB. The rest of the picks are all fairly good prospects with decent opportunity to earn playing time this year, but no real sure thing picks.

Fergalicious 15-15 overall regular season record (.500) ONE TITLE
Email: michaelhcrisp@gmail.com
Text: 262-302-0845
Facebook: Michael Crisp

Fergalicious is my former coworker Mike. I've known him for a super long time. He is another CapTel person. He's always a threat to win in fantasy. In all the fantasy sports seasons I have commished (basketball and football) he has only ever NOT won one time. Once. That was the initial season of The Rad Dynasty when he had a losing record. Otherwise he won season two of the Rad Dynasty, and he is also 4-0 in my NBA league. So in 6 appearances in games I've hosted, he's won 5 of them. It is impressive. He'll look to become the first repeat champion in league history, perhaps solidifying his team as the first real dynasty in this league.

2025 Draft picks:
Rd 1 Cam Skattebo
Rd 2 Darren Waller
Rd 3 Will Lutz
Rd 4: Josh Blackwell
Rd 5: Sam Hubbard

Grade: D+. This was an auto draft so hopefully Mike doesn't take offense to my D+ grade. Skattebo was the only real good pick that was made. That's why this gets a D+ and not a D. I'm not sure I'd waste a second rounder on a TE who is always injured and just came out of retirement. The rest of the picks are IDP and a kicker, which is nothing to get excited about. Fergalicious won the title last year despite auto drafting last year as well, so while on the surface this may seem like a bad draft, as long as the core roster plays well this team will be okay.

This is my brother Chris. We've only started playing fantasy football together since 2023 (Rad Dynasty season one). Chris is super competitive and I am sure he is disappointed he has missed the playoffs in each of the first two seasons. But his team is looking good going into next year. He is 0-7 combined against me and my uncle Peter, and then 15-8 against the rest of the league. So he has always been really close to breaking out. Luckily he nailed it in the draft last year, taking Nabers, Worthy, Tracy, and Jayden Daniels. The future is looking great for this team.

2025 Draft picks:
Rd 1 Kaleb Johnson
Rd 2 Bhayshul Tuten
Rd 3 Ricky Pearsall
Rd 4 Evan McPherson
Rd 5 Pat Bryant

Grade: B-. Yahoo gave Chris an F but I don't think that is accurate at all. They only give him an F because he left 2 IDP spots blank after the draft, and now they think he's going to be a super low scoring team with 2 empty roster spots. I'm sure he'll fix that soon. Anyway, Kaleb is a great first rounder and I am very high on him. Tuten is a speed guy and could be boom or bust in Jacksonville. Pearsall is a steal in the 3rd round, as he was a 2024 first rounder in a lot of dynasty leagues. Taking a kicker fills a need, and Pat Bryant has been compared to Michael Thomas by the Broncos coach.

Thank you Scotty for stepping in and taking over this team from John Olsen, who was a terrible manager. It will take a lot to turn this team around, but if anyone can do it, it is you. Scotty is another CapTel person, and one of the nicest individuals I met during my time with the company. He is also a giant threat to win any fantasy football league he is in, so the managerial switch should help make this league a lot more competitive all of a sudden. He had a shell of a decent team coming into the draft, and he had a good draft. This team can turn its fortunes around. It may be a building process and it could take a season for these rookies to grow into their roles, but this team seems to be in good hands.

2025 Draft picks:
Rd 1 RJ Harvey
Rd 2 Matthew Golden
Rd 3 Dylan Sampson
Rd 4 Kyle Williams
Rd 5 Hollywood Brown

Grade: B+. This was a pretty excellent draft, as all of this team's top 4 picks are players I liked throughout the draft process. Although I think Harvey was a reach at 1.03, he could flourish in Denver. Golden could be the guy in GB. Dylan Sampson has opportunity in Cleveland. And Kyle Williams could be Drake Maye's #1 receiver in New England. I like it.

Facebook: Peter Blasezyk

This is my uncle Peter. Just like with my brother, we've only been playing fantasy together since the initial season of this league. I'm sure his winning percentage is not exactly what he'd hoped it would be, but he's had a lot of other things to worry about the last two years aside from this team. I don't feel like we've gotten 100% Peter yet. Maybe this will be the turnaround season. Before the draft, he trimmed his roster down to 15 and said he is looking to do a rebuild, so I am excited to see where things go from here. His team went on a surprisingly decent run last year, and that was with minimal effort being put into things. I'm very interested to see what 100% Peter will bring. He comes in with solid QBs with Baker and Goff. Probably the best TE group in the entire league with Kittle and Bowers. His RBs and WRs are pretty decent, too.

2025 Draft picks:
Rd 1 Jordan Mason
Rd 2 Quinshon Judkins
Rd 3 Jaylen Wright
Rd 4 Zamir White
Rd 5 Justice Hill
Rd 6 Sam Darnold
Rd 7 Robert Spillane
Rd 8 Micah McFadden
Rd 9 Brandon Jones
Rd 10 Jonathan Greenard

Grade: C. Apparently My Team was looking at data for the 2024 season when making his draft picks this year and drafted like it was a season ago, haha. I was wondering why he took Zamir White so high. It could be worse, I suppose. Jordan Mason could be vying with Aaron Jones for lead back in MN. Judkins was a dynasty first rounder until his legal trouble. Wright could be something, especially if Achane ever gets hurt. Darnold is a good QB to have on your roster in case of emergency. The rest of the picks like Justice Hill and the IDPs are hard to get excited about.

Facebook: Tim Schmidt

This is my wife's cousin's husband Tim, or Timmy as we call him. When I started this league I just knew I had to have him in it, as he is the biggest sports fanatic I know. Unfortunately it has not translated into wins. He has the worst record in the young history of this league. Just a .267 winning percentage through two seasons. Despite this, the team started out 4-1 last year before going on a 10 game losing streak to end the season. There are some really good pieces on this team. It is just a matter of how invested Timmy is in turning things around. I traded him a package of young and promising players in the offseason in exchange for his first round pick, and he later dropped almost all of these players (the only player he kept was Trevor Lawrence). I'm not sure why he did that. Plus the draft went poorly for him too. I could see this team finishing in last this year.

2025 Draft picks:
Rd 2 Jake Bates
Rd 3 Theo Johnson
Rd 3 Juanyeh Thomas
Rd 4 Roschon Johnson
Rd 5 Tyler Allgeier

Grade: F. Almost every pick here is bad. Theo Johnson is the only one that I would consider a decent or an okay pick. He could be good if he stays healthy in NY. The rest of the picks do nothing to help this team, which was 4-11 last year. They could regress this season. Might they even go winless?

I've known Sean for a super long time. We met online when I was casting players for a Game of Thrones online role playing game. He randomly responded to one of my messages and agreed to play as Bran Stark. This must have been what, 12 or 13 years ago? We've been friends online ever since. His team has been a formidable presence through two years in the league. He's tied for the second best winning percentage in league history, and has made the playoffs in one of two seasons. In fact, if he had remembered to swap out an injured player in the 2023 post season he would have won that matchup, and gone on to win the title. His team looks good as ever this year. I do have to question trading away Justin Jefferson, although he did get LaPorta, Flowers, and two future firsts out of it. I guess it is a move where we'll have to wait and see if it pans out.

2025 Draft picks:
Rd 1 Tet McMillan
Rd 2 Cam Ward
Rd 3 Luther Burden
Rd 4 Marshawn Lloyd
Rd 5 Malachi Starks

Grade: B+. This draft addressed a need at QB. It will really look like a good move if Cam Ward hits. Tet McMillan is my WR#1 in this draft class, so I like this pick. I was going to take Malachi Starks myself if he'd fallen to me, but this team took him right before me. I'm not sure about his other two picks - they are more dart throws in my opinion. But they could be something, particularly Burden.

ned's rollers 19-11 (.633) ONE TITLE

Survivor Sucks ID: nedloh3

I've been playing in leagues with Ned for several years now. Every year, I circle my matchups with him because I always know it is going to be a major battle. Ned may be the single best fantasy football player I've matched up against. He has so many championship wins. In fact, he won year one in this league, but then had a rare down 2024 season. But even having a down season, he still finished with a winning record. If there is anything you can count on, it will be on Ned being a force yet again in this league. He's got a pretty good roster going into next season. That said, although I know his team will be solid, I think Ned is one trade or one home run draft selection away from being a true title contender.

2025 Draft picks:
Rd 1 Tyler Warren
Rd 2 Dont'e Thornton
Rd 3 Jalen Carter
Rd 4 Jessie Bates
Rd 5 Jake Elliott
Rd 6 Diontae Johnson

Grade: B-. I love the pick of Tyler Warren in the first round. I was hoping he'd fall to me. Thornton may have been a reach in the second round, but he's been gaining a lot of steam lately. If you've got a guy you believe in, go get him. The rest of his draft is mainly just filling in needs on defense and at kicker. Tyler Warren definitely makes this a winning draft. If Thornton hits, this draft looks a lot better in retrospect.

Bluth Company 10-20 overall (.333) 0 titles

Facbook: Bryan Hulke

This is my friend Bryan, who I have known online for a super long time. My time at Survivor Sucks goes back to the mid 2000s. I don't know when exactly Bryan and I began interacting, but it is possible we've known each other for over 15 years now. He played in the same online series (Vertigo) that Sean played in, but I don't think they ever appeared in the same game.

Back in the first year of this league, Bluth looked like he had a team that was going to dominate this league. Despite being one of the highest scoring teams in the league, he gave up by far the most points and missed the playoffs. Then in year 2, the wheels completely fell off. Trading away Josh Allen for a pick that turned into Michael Mayer was a questionable move, especially considering how poorly CJ Stroud filled in for Allen last year. Bluth went from A+ production to F production at quarterback overnight, and I don't think anyone could have predicted that because everyone thought Stroud was going to be good. And then CMC missed so much time. Everything went wrong for Bluth last year. Everyone was always injured. But of all the teams at the bottom of last year's standings, this is the one that I could easily see turning things around the most. He acquired Nix in a trade, so his QB woes should instantly be solved. He took Jeanty, and then if CMC is healthy that is a great RB combo. Ladd and Tee Higgins at WR. Solid TEs. Imagine if his draft picks hit? Huge dark horse team next season.

2025 Draft picks:
Rd 1 Ashton Jeanty
Rd 2 Elijah Arroyo
Rd 3 Jayden Higgins
Rd 4 Woody Marks
Rd 5 Kaden Elliss

Grade: B. Jeanty was a no brainer at the 1.01. Arroyo is an interesting pick. Personally, I like him as a prospect. But rookies take a while to develop in dynasty. Higgins is a very good pick. Marks is a question mark, although he does have a great name. Elliss is an underrated IDP. I had him in a dynasty league last year and he was a pretty consistent points scorer.

I started playing fantasy with BDB around the same time I started with ned. I know them from the same place, and in fact I used to get the both of them mixed up all the time. But no longer! BDB had a great year one in this league, making the playoffs and losing to eventual champ Ned. But things completely fell apart in year two, despite having record-setting Saquon Barkley on his team. I think BDB's head just wasn't in it last year (he was traveling with a rugby team or something?) so that could explain the dip. Plus he had originally drafted a very old team that may have been good in a redraft league but not dynasty. Hopefully this year his picks hit and he can bounce back. With Saquon, anything is possible, but there isn't much there at WR. Being able to put Travis Hunter in as a defensive player could be a huge positional advantage.

2025 Draft picks:
Rd 1 Travis Hunter
Rd 2 Keon Coleman
Rd 3 Rashod Bateman
Rd 4 Aaron Rodgers
Rd 5 Jaleel McLaughlin

Grade: C+. Travis Hunter was a great pick in the first round. He is projected to score nearly 17 points in week 1, and he can be put in at defensive back. That is a big advantage to have. I guess we'll have to see if Coleman and Bateman can come in and contribute at WR, considering how thin the team was at WR coming into the draft. Rodgers is a good backup to have at QB. Herbert will probably be starting the majority of games for BDB.

I'm saving Alice for last because her cell number was added to the group chat last. I met Alice around the same time I met BDB and Ned. Again, I know them all from the same place. Aside from me and Perry, Alice is probably one of the most ambitious fantasy players I've met. She runs several leagues, she is in several leagues, and she is always one of the more competitive matchups on my schedule. Just like I circle my matchups with Ned, I do the same for Alice as well. She is one of the winningest players in Rad Dynasty history, tied for the second highest regular season winning percentage. Alice and I met in the playoffs last year, and I came out on top. Hopefully this is just the start of what will be a great rivalry for many years to come. She's got a fairly loaded team, so I am expecting another great season from her.

2025 Draft picks:
Rd 1 Colston Loveland
Rd 2 Terrance Ferguson
Rd 3 Nick Bosa
Rd 4 TJ Edwards
Rd 5 Cam Bynum

Grade: B. I liked this draft for Alice. She came in needing tight end help, especially considering Kelce may retire soon. Colston Loveland is someone I was looking to draft in the 1st round. Alice took him right before me. Ferguson is another player I was eyeballing, and I was sniped again. As soon as I saw Ferguson was drafted by the Rams I just had a feeling he'd end up on Alice's team. The rest of the draft picks fill out the defense, which is always not the most exciting thing. But if these two TEs hit, Alice is going to be in a great spot because the rest of her team is pretty well stacked.

Done!

Oh wait, I am not done because I did not do myself

All of you know me so I don't need to do too much introducing. To you, I'm either a family member, a coworker, a former coworker, or a friend (either online or off). I've been really obsessed with dynasty lately, which is one of the reasons I started this league two seasons ago. I like redraft as well, but there is just something about building a team and watching it evolve from year to year that fascinates me. I do a lot of research and listen to a lot of dynasty podcasts. I familiarize myself with a lot of the young guys coming in. Surprisingly, I don't actually watch many games. In fact, I think I only saw two or three full games to completion all last season combined.

Year one of this league, my team was awful. Looking back, I really drafted a bad team. Luckily I was able to make some moves in year two, where I jumped into first place in the regular season and a loss in the title game. Acquiring Josh Allen was big. So was acquiring James Cook and Garrett Wilson. Plus I struck some gold with home grown players like Jamarr Chase, De'Von Achane, Tucker Kraft, and Chase Brown all having huge seasons. Mark Andrews was a great waiver pickup. Thanks BDB for dropping him when he got hurt in 2023. Plus I loaded up on some future studs in the 2024 draft, adding Brian Thomas Jr, Marvin Harrison Jr, and Rome Odunze. So my team is looking good for the future. But looking good doesn't always translate to performing well. I guess we'll see how I do this year.

2025 Draft picks:
Rd 1 TreVeyon Henderson
Rd 1 Emeka Egbuka
Rd 2 Mason Taylor
Rd 3 Tre Harris
Rd 4 Harold Fannin Jr
Rd 6 Budda Baker

Grade: A+++++ (you know I am always going to give myself an A+ right?) I don't know how things could have gone any better for me. I was originally hoping to take a TE that was either Loveland or Warren, but they were both gone when my pick came at 1.10. But that was ok because it meant TreVeyon Henderson had fallen to me. I love this RB as a prospect and a home run hitter, and I never would have expected him to fall to me. I also took Egbuka, who I had listed as my WR2 in this rookie class behind Tet McMillan. The rest of the draft went well too. I addressed my TE room by adding Fanning and Taylor. I don't need Tre Harris at WR but I have always loved him as a prospect. Just had to take him when he was there in front of me. I think my team is super stacked coming into this season and is well set up to be a competitor for years and years to come.

I can't wait to see what is in store for this upcoming season. A lot of teams have already made some moves to improve their roster this offseason. Plus The Killing Fields has a new and awesome manager. And hopefully this year we can see improvement from BDB, TBone, Bluth, and My Team. Year One of the league was super competitive, with a logjam at the top of the standings. Year Two there was not as much parity. There was a lot of separation at the top, with the top 4 teams securing their playoff berths with 2 weeks still left in the season. I'm hoping for more of a return to Year One competitiveness, and I think we're headed in the right direction.

Great draft everyone and good luck this season.

The Rad Dynasty: 2025 Season Preview

Hello group. I haven't written anything here in a long time, so I figured I'd post an update while we are still a little over a month away from the draft. First, I want to welcome the newest member to the league: Scotty! He will be taking over for the previous manager of The Killing Fields: John Olsen. I had to make the tough decision to boot John out of the league after watching his team slowly fall apart. He went from a contender in the inaugural season of The Rad Dynasty in 2023 to a bottom feeder in 2024. He missed the draft, he didn't set his lineups, he didn't make any waiver acquisitions. He left injured people in his lineup. His team set a record for futility when it comes to points scored. It was basically an unattended team all season long, and an easy win for anyone who matched up against him. And we can't have that. So out goes John and in comes Scotty. Scotty is a great guy. I worked with him for several years. He's also a terrific fantasy player. I think I've seen him win 3 times now. He's always a formidable opponent week to week. If anyone can turn around The Killing Fields, it is him. Give him a hand. (BTW, feel free to change the name of the team if you'd like to).

The draft will be on August 3rd. I will be sending individual reminders to everyone as the week approaches. Most teams currently sit with 21 players on their roster. After you made your cuts earlier in the year, I added your Taxi Squad player to your team. So that put a lot of you back over the roster limit. Never fear, you have until August 2nd, the day before the draft, to send me the name of any players you want to cut. If you don't send me anything, I'll just drop your Taxi player to get you down to 20 players. You MUST have a minimum of 15 or a maximum of 20 players on your team heading into the draft.

If you forget who is on your team or how many players you have, click:

This page also lists your draft picks in the upcoming draft, as well as contact information for other members of the league if you are looking to make any trades.

Since we are so close to the draft, I want to make sure everyone knows how this works. Using the Yahoo website instead of the app is highly, and I mean highly recommended. I find the app to be completely useless. To get to the Rad Dynasty Yahoo page, click the following link. Please note: you probably need to be logged into a Yahoo account to see the webpage:

When you get to the home page, you get an overall view of the game site. You can see weekly schedules and standings. At the top of the page you will see this:

This is a very important thing to familiarize yourself with. Click on "My Team" to see your current roster. You won't be able to make any adjustments because the draft has not happened yet. What we want to look at for draft purposes is: Draft. Hover over it and it will bring up a dropdown menu. Click Draft Results. This will give you a visual representation of how the draft will work.

It shows the draft order for the first 5 rounds of the draft. After that, you will see that players will start filling in certain teams draft selections. Those are the keepers from last season. It is essentially putting them on hold and then auto drafting them after you pick 5 players in the live draft to fill out your team. That's assuming you kept 20 players. If you only kept 19 (like Ned) you will have a 6th round pick, and then you team will start auto filling after that. If you only kept 15 (like My Team - my Uncle Pete) then you get a whopping ten picks in the draft before the auto-filling begins. As of right now, he picks in round 6 with Ned, and then picks by himself rounds 7 through 10 while everyone auto drafts around him. So at the end of the draft, he kind of gets his pick of the litter as to who to take. He said he wanted to do a rebuild of his team, so I hope it goes well!

On this page, you may also notice an option that looks like this:

It defaults to "Round." What you want to do is click on "Team." It will then bring up all the upcoming draft picks for each team. Again, you will notice that your keepers will show up as automatically filled in for each team. This gives a pretty good visual example of how this all works.

Let's use Bluth as an example:

Very straightforward. You can see the picks he has in the upcoming draft. You can see how the rest of his roster auto-filled. To me this is the best way to view the draft and prepare for it. If Bluth were to drop down to 19 players before the draft, he would gain a 6th round pick. Like, if he drops Josh Downs, all those keepers move up one spot and then his 6th round pick will show up as empty. I'll use ned and his 19 keepers below as another example:

See how he has a 6th rounder now? I hope this is all making sense to you.

Last visual example is for my uncle who only kept 15 players. You'll see how he has 10 draft picks. Ignore the numbers assigned to them, by the time we get to the last few rounds, he will be the only one picking while everyone auto drafts around him. So essentially his last 4 picks will all be consecutive.

Hopefully these examples helped make things clear on how the draft will work. I hope I did not make it more confusing. Anyway, I thought I would show these examples so that everyone could look at them and have a visual representation of how the draft will look before it happens.

Last thing before I leave is to implore you to log into the actual Yahoo website instead of the app. It makes things so much easier. There are a lot of things to click around on, like Players. To me, this is the best and easiest way to look at remaining players and use the dropdown menus to sort through them. Of course, you won't be able to add anyone until after the draft. But this is a nice way to see who will be available to draft from and how Yahoo ranks them.

I'd suggest familiarizing yourself with the Yahoo page, and clicking on all dropdown menus to see what they do. Research is a good one. Matchups will take you to your next matchup, but everything will show up empty because lineups can't be set yet. On the League's front page, you can click Schedule under League Members to view everyone's schedules. There's a lot of stuff to explore that will make your fantasy life easier in the future.

See you all on August 3rd for the draft, and I will be sending out reminders and asking you to drop down below 20 players if you are currently above that number. Bye for now.
